Russia evacuates thousands after dam bursts in Orsk

Russia has declared an emergency across its entire Orenburg region after water levels in the Ural River rose dangerously high due to melting ice.
Officials say 10,000 residents may be in the flooding zone and up to 4,000 houses could be inundated.

I would like to feel sorry for them... I guess they'll figure out a way to blame Ukraine for it somehow. Something in the vain of: why didn't they just roll over and let themselves be conquered. The largest lake in England, Rutland Water is impounded behind an earth dam. Tallest dam in the USA is an earthfill too. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oroville_Dam A properly constructed earth dam is fine. But this IS Rissia.
