Putin says Russia will not attack Nato as he visits military training centre

Moscow will not attack Nato, but F-16 fighter jets supplied to Ukraine will be shot down, Vladimir Putin has said.
“We have no aggressive intentions towards these states,” Putin told a group of Russian air force pilots while on a visit to a combat training centre, a Kremlin transcript reported. “The idea that we will attack some other country - Poland, the Baltic States, and the Czechs are also being scared - is complete nonsense. It’s just drivel.”

I don't buy that. Putin told Stoltenberg what conditions would prevent a Russian invasion, therefore he also knew what conditions would provoke one. Same here, they won't attack NATO unless NATO becomes a serious belligerent , for example by hosting the F16s. They have also said that if France sends troops to Ukraine they will be destroyed.
