Germany has done a great deal, mainly non-military. Schulz’ handling of the tanks really points to his governments amateurism. Germany’s issues should have been worked out behind the scenes and weeks before tanks became a public issue. Amateur. But Germany is valued in cutting dependence on Russian energy. Ok, Germany did walk into that dependence, but “hindsight is 20-20”.. Glad to have Germany as an ally. I am American.

The mud season puts into context the fact that even if 60 ton western main battle tanks turn up in the next few weeks, the mud will be a serious hurdle, they simply need to be ready for when the mud season recedes. Weather doesn’t take sides. So during the mud season the defender would have the advantage. I’m sure the planners are fully aware of this, unlike many politicians and armchair generals

Not sure if it's totally accurate, but I've heard Wagner leader Prigozhin is financed by an "unknown mysterious oligarch", so I'm not surprised the group is so well-equipped tbh. Because the NATO treaty contains 'Article 5'. If one member is attacked by a country, all are attacked by that country. So a country at war with Russia would drag all in, according to a treaty binding under domestic and international law.

I would still point out that just because these guys show bias, partisanship and optimism, it doesn't actually mean that their reporting, especially if listeners mentally account for those things, is wrong. Objectivity is in the eye of the beholder wrt this war. I mean, there are some obviously wrong things floated about like the Russian-reported casualty figures, but then it's about the attrition, acceptable losses, what is a victory and likely outcomes as well as the Western political will to continue supplying Ukraine. None of these assessments are objective. FWIW, Beau of the Fifth Column is of the opinion Russia can't hold Ukraine even if they could conquer it. I think he's right, but that, too, ultimately depends on Ukranian resolve and that, again, is a subjective assessment.

I subscribe to your channel on the basis of 'know thy enemy'. May I quibble? I thought I heard your 'reporter' say the MH flight was brought down by a Russian missile? If so, this is an excellent example of clever propaganda, and completely misleading. What is indisputable (timing) is that the missile was not Russian but Soviet. And Soviet air defence systems were left in the Warsaw Pact countries, including the Ukraine. I guess we'll never know for sure who shot down the MH flight.

That's not how it went, Sergei. There were Russian info ops there and Crimea and both places had Russian troops posing as locals, basically taking them over. In Donbas, they actually fought Ukraine. I wish I could remember the video (possibly 1420 collab with some other guy), but a Russian guy thought about joining again and said he'd already been twice fighting in Donbas as a Russian soldier before this full-scale invasion.
