Yet another brilliant info video Sean!!!! I’m flying the apprentice STS. I have done auto config on my dx6 gen3. But I have smart battery in position 1 and smart ESC in position 6. But this is my smart ESC: 30-Amp Smart ESC; Apprentice STS (EFLA1030FB). Not sure if that’s why they are in different positions to yours. Best wishes to your mum. the different position really dont matter . each position has different choices in it. also keep in mind my demo is on a older dx9 as long as you see the info you want that is what matters

I wish Spektrum would add a % meter for flight pack battery level

if you are using a avian esc and a smart battery that info is in the telemetry i believe.. if not you will need the flight pack energy sensor that plugs into a x-bus port on telemetry receivers that unit i have it is great it shows the amp draw and how much of the battery you have used and what is left how fast you are using it etc. i do think with the smart battery setup info like that is there

If you set up a receiver with SAFE mode selected, but have to invert one of the outputs because the flight control surface its operating opposite of what it should, does SAFE understand this and will it give the correct output to counteract a wind gust or axis change? Or will it make the situation worse ?

SCOTT it will make the situation worse. NEVER NEVER EVER reverse the direction of servo travel in the transmitter when using a receiver with a gyro. always reverse servo direction in the receiver by either the computer program or a APP with a tablet and the usb cable or blue tooth module or now for the smart receivers forward programming directly from your transmitter
