Thanks for appreciating the post. This one phrase change so much of how I see the world today. I'm almost 60, and I was one of the masses, had two businesses, played the game. Now I hope for nothing less than it's total demise, so that we can start over, smarter, healthier, and perhaps a little wiser than how its' been done so far. But the old has to come down first. It can't be remodeled or improved. It is rotten to its core and needs to be tossed. Hope you all do better in your lives that I have. Things are already getting bad. There are over 200 homeless in the small town I live in now, of a population of about 2,000. If that don't scare the shit out of everyone, I don't know what will. Still, I hear the "Oh, don't worry about it, there's nothing you can do anyway." This is perhaps the most sickening and dangerous MEME in our culture today. Yeah. You are powerless so don't even try. The debates should be televised on C-SPAN and not on corporate run television. And it shouldn't be limited to the Presidential Candidate Debate, but also the candidates for Congress, which should include anyone and everyone who is on the ballot's in the states, NOT JUST THE TWO MAJOR PARTIES. We need the people with ideas because part of the problem we have is stagnation in Congress. The two major parties fight over the same issues which never seem to go away, and unfortunately, people have it engrained in them that only the people in the two major parties are viable in elections and that is only true because of the way we vote. Most know nothing of the person who is running. And this is why we have gotten people who aren't leaders of a new path forward, rather, they engage in the same obstruction of agenda's that should go forward and that is why this country has become more of an oligarchy which is dangerous having corporations having as big of foot print in Congress and basically purchasing a win with millions of dollars spent by Corporate activists.

(P) Jill Stein & (VP) Bernie Sanders that what needs to happen. that needs to happen. consolidate the support. win or lose, that needs to happen. win or lose, that NEEDS to happen. abby martin might be, MIGHT BE, a female version of donald trump for the leftside of the political spectrum. excellent journalist, okay interviewer, and self-aware/ intelligent. but idk if shes be committed to politics. she seems short tempered.

I'ld go for Dr. Jill Stein For President and Bernie Sanders for vice president. But, not the other way around. I would trust Pres Stein to control Bernie's Democratic ways. Not Bernie selling out to democrats and Dr. Jill Stein with no say on anything.

youre right.. Jill Stein has a powerful agenda that would send inspire nations to follow in an attempt to curve global pollution/ health issues. she can do more with the stage of presidency . Bernie is perfect for VP, mainly because his issues are nearly all domestic issues and inequalities. & i dont know enough about his foreign policy. of course,.. did the green party get on the ballot in all states?

NUMBERS HAVE CHANGED SINCE 2004. It is now 43% Independents. Right now Independents are fired up and Green Peace has a viable candidate, Dr. Jill Stein - Symptoms of a Sick Society a book she wrote. Dr. Stein does have a following. Is it true there is some work to be done to allow Green Peace Party on the Ballot in all states?
