Jennings, Koppel and Brinkley and Walters were quality journalist. The interviews and news programing is not the same.

What a voice! Smart guy, too - his assessment of Hannity was spot on.

Nightline was a remarkably good show. Koppel was as good as it gets. Still is. Think about this: When I was a kid in the 80s and early 90s, ABC News had Peter Jennings anchoring the nightly news, Ted Koppel doing Nightline each night, and David Brinkley hosting This Week each Sunday. You talk about some broadcast journalism legends. Not bad at all. Sinking Gary Hart wasn’t so good. That guy could have been a remarkable president. The Al Campanis interview is ASTOUNDING now, but was really NOT all that weird at the time. That attitude was very prevalent. I think Koppel’s take on it is really pretty measured and sober. The mark of a decent journalist.

Dear Lovely Lord, thank You for the newscasters, anchomen and public faces we get to know through the years. Please save Ted Koppel, for Your glory! Teach him that there will be NO foul language in Your Kingdom! Allow his spirit to become holy and sanctified before he leaves us for eternity, as so many others have! Comfort his grieving heart, and fill him with Your wonderful love, in the name of Jesus! Thank You because ALL things are possible! HalleluJah! 💖💖💖
