No matter how we as DJs try to be creative with our selections, sometimes the audience just don’t feel certain songs after a while. The whole production, lyrics and relevance of the music is poor and short lived.

Kartel is a bad example. Him buss before 2005 just like Shaggy, Junior Gong, Sean Paul and Buju. They are talking about the artiste dem that buss after 2010. Probably just Charlie Blacks. Kranium don't count cause he grew up in USA. So if a artiste fall off if them don't give a decent tune in one year then dance hall fall off if we we can't name 3 international artist weh buss since 2010

Firmin Henry there is nothing unifying about koffee video ... it’s just a nice song from an artist that has already been exposed internationally and has already single handedly won a Grammy ... had it been any other local artist done the same song it wouldn’t have the same impact but koffee has already crossed over and tapped into the mainstream market, A lot a people love r worldwide... so it doesn’t matter what dance popcaan has in it... popcaan doesn’t trend in any countries when he dances in his own videos... Maybe it's the difference in generation between us. Cause I find that dance hall now is boring. Division can't bring success. The nowadays artiste just want put them fans in a pen. This is stupidness for people to have a favourite artiste so they can't like a next artiste music. We have moved away from the basics. 1. Use an infectious riddim that people can vibe to even before they hear the lyrics. 2. Do all or most of the chorus in English so people overseas can relate to the song 3. Most of the biggest artiste should be on the hottest riddims together to promote juggling so we hear hits after hits on one bad riddim at a time to build the vibes in parties 4 The biggest artiste need to do more collaborations with each other to grow their fan base instead of just stagnant so with the same set of fans 5. Bring back that segment at some stage shows where the hottest artiste dem can run out on the stage one time and take turns giving hits after hits
