This one's a classic for sure. Seeing that you're from Toronto, check out Charice's live performances at the Eaton Centre during an album tour (mostly fan-made). In the spirit of the holidays, however, you could check any of these lives, too: _Grown Up Christmas List, Jingle Bell Rock, The Christmas Song_ (US); _Noel_ (Philippines). For more Canadian love: _The Prayer_ with the Canadian Tenors at a CBC Christmas Special with David Foster. Or the legendary duet with Céline Dion at Madison Square Gardens (NYC). (Speaking of international album tours, you could also check out performances in Bangkok after Eaton). All of these are YT classics by Charice who, ultimately and no doubt such a gifted performer, as Charice has since transitioned but still performing and writing songs. My dear the song was originally written and performed by Eric Carmen back in the 70's. See his You Tube / Mid Night special performance. David Foster had Celine Dion do a reprise but, trust me she just did a performance of a song that's been around for a few years.

Incase you're not familiar Eric Carmen a former member of a rock group known as the Raspberry's and a classically trained pianist borrowed from Russian "Romantic" composer Sergei Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto in C minor the 2nd movement of the 3 part concerto. That movement in my opinion not only the center part but the sparkling jewel of a beautiful piece of classical music. If you like Classical music you might listen to pianist Lang Lang's performance of this piece or the entire concerto on You Tube BEAUTIFUL! This music was the basis for Carmen's composition of the song All By Myself which Filipina singer Charise did a marvelous job with. She had such wonderful potential to be an excellent female pop vocalist who in my opinion could have approached the level of Whitney Houston. Sadly she turned away from that and it breaks the heart to see that. Oh what if? By the way David Foster was supporting and mentoring her and he has been a force behind several performers.

Charice despite changing her whole look and name to Jake Cyrus, will always be the best singer. Or will always be one of the best for me. She's just amazing, singing Celine Dion songs is her best. Glad you reacted to this video. This never gets old. Even David Foster still amazed by her despite knowing how powerful her singing is.

Charice is from the Philippines and goes back in time to when she was a young teenager appearing on both Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres shows. She was discovered by David Foster. She had a very rough childhood. She was a real belter and was destined for World super stardom. She actually was introduced to Celine Dion by Oprah, and invited by Celine Dion to sing with her in front of 20,000 people at her Madison square garden concert in 2008. She was probably around 15 at the time. She did several concerts around that time, a few with David Foster, and blew the roof off of every place. But in a few years she came out as trans and is now a male. Her voice has changed and it's very sad that she likely gave up what was going to be a blockbuster career. However she chose her happiness and we can only wish her the best.

I was addicted to Charice videos about ten or fifteen years ago. Then, she decided she was a boy and now goes by Jake Zyrus. Maybe the biggest waste of God-given talent ever as Charice was easily one of the five greatest female singers of all time. I truly miss Charice.

She did this to help put food on the table....for her abused mother, and younger brother. FalseVoice posted a small 6 part Doc. about the sad situation.....and it was a staffer on the Ellen G. show that saw them, and she was invited to the US where she was always covering Whitney songs a lot...after Ellen , Opra had her on.....and introduced her to Celine , and David Foster . Celine invited her to perform "" Because I Love You "" to dedicate to Charice's mother at MSG, in NY. David began producing her....., made a album called Charice that had the hit, Pyramid. She also appeared on GLEE as Sunshine Corazon . She even performed at one of the Inauguration Balls for President Obama .
