Hello. I’m here from Brazil and for eight months I’ve been studying Mandarin on the internet, by curiosity and also because I want to upgrade my cultural level. I’m loving the language, especially writing. I want to take HSK 1 a year from now. I have been to Japan, Canada, the Caribbean, Argentina. In addition to Portuguese, my native language I speak English and Spanish, I have notions of German, French, Japanese and Italian. Thank you for your videos and the didactic way you patiently teach us.

犬 狗 as well ? Is there any difference between those two characters?
@ChineasybyShaoLan4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mikołaj, Good question! In Chinese, both 犬 and 狗 can mean 'dog'. 犬 is mainly used to refer to a category of dogs, such as 警犬 (police dogs) or 猎犬 (hunting dogs). If you want to say ‘this dog’, ‘that dog’ or ‘my dog’, we would use the character 狗. Hope this helps! :)

@@ChineasybyShaoLan many thanks, you made a new method and made easy learning characters 👍 I downloaded it, I thought learning chinese is impossible! And thought that chinese is harder than English, Korean and Japanese! But now my opinion changed, my main problem was just characters, but now I love all characters, and I can learn them and read fast. Chinese grammar is clear and rational, words length is almost short so I can learn it faster. Nǐ hǎo has 5 letters but annyeonghaseyo in korean has 14 letters and hard alphabet. In English, Japanese, Korean and Russian... spelling and pronunciation are not the same! And many other reasons why I chose Chinese to learn... 🙏🙏🙏

@@nikolaskoenigstein243 I see. In Chinese, there are two different Chinese characters for 'dog'. One is 犬 (quǎn) and another is 狗 (gǒu). They both mean 'dog' and which one to use depends on the context.
