I understand that it may not be something you agree with but for me and my partner if one of us is ever in need of space we give it to the other person. Though it never goes as far as sleeping on the couch, I know it works for some relationships, you don’t have to agree with it but just know it can actually help. As long as both parties are aware of the reasons and agree it’s a fair solution.
