At first I thought it was pierogi answering my post lol. But thank you for your concern. Now I get both Microsoft and my Amazon account scammers. The first time I received notification that a phone in the amount of $790 was charged to my Amazon, I called them. They said nothing about scammers but just to ignore the message. I hope Amazon is now teaching people about this situation. I will find out. Thank you again.

Because of your videos, Helped a lady from being Scammed, She was in CVS getting gift cards, Clerk tried to talk to her, I said a few things that I learned from your videos and she listened. They were pretending to be Geek Squad. She was in a wheel chair. She about cried when I told her what was going on. Told her what to do. She told me she had done this before. Saved her 2000.

I would lose my temper, but I'm an "older lady" and have zero patience for these people. I get calls everyday from scammers. So many calls that I've added to my incoming calls voice message "scammers WILL BE reported". I love what you're doing and believe you and Jim should be employed by the FBI, or whoever's supposed to police this stuff, and paid a humongous salary plus every benefit known to man. Think of how quickly this industry could be shut down if you and Jim had security clearance needed to officially do what you do on your own time now. I have seen some white people in the US speak fluent Urdu with a Karachi accent. one Uber driver just learned the word "mujhe Urdu nahi ati" but his pronunciation was so good that if I didn't see his face, I would assume he is from Karachi. I had an easier time understanding his Hindi than I did when I first heard Kumail Nanjiani speak Urdu in Silicon Valley or the Urdu of the Punjabi guys at the Pakistan Consulate.

Dude, love what you do. I worked in India for 12 years running call centers. Some are scammers. Most aren’t. I have to give you one piece of advice, having worked in Kolkata (Calcutta). Learn Bengali. Most call center workers in Salt Lake and Hindi is their third language. Speaking Bengali will REALLY freak them out. I’m familiar with other ones but how do they even make $40k show up in the customers bank account, surely they can’t really be transferring that much - what’s stopping the customer from simply ending the call with a payout then. That’s what’s confusing me.

@@User-cb4jm Editor here! I'll clear this up a bit. So the scammers will say that you need to be refunded back your money for an arbitrary reason. After they have you connect to their computer with anydesk, teamviewer, or another connect client, and have you open your bank page to see if the money has been processed. It never does since there's no actual money. So then the scammers have you process the "refund" again via a form or "server" since the "usual method" isn't working. They add an extra zero and claim that you typed something in wrong and there's too much money being transferred. Then they go back to your bank page and black out the screen by either putting up an image that says "updating" or something of that sort, or by just blacking out entirely and saying there's a technical issue. They edit the html to change the text of your bank account to show the transfer, but there's no actual transfer being made, it's just text on your bank. (If you refresh the page it will go back to normal for that reason.) So when you go to refund the money that they "transferred" you're actually just withdrawing your own money and sending it to them.

Federal politicians are already getting paid too much money by major spyware companies (like Amazon, antivirus software, browsers, social media platforms and operating systems)..to fund anything like this. Tip for you, some of those calls are not scams, but actual marketing cold calls. I use to work for several big medicare insurance companies, and that's how they do it. If they are legit, you can ask to be placed on the DNC (that prevents the legit companies from calling) and then the others. well. they are probably from a foreign country and just scamming.

I repeated back, "yes you are recording me" then I went into a tirade with colorful words to lose my number and never call this number again. It get's ugly, but I was fed up. It had been going on for MONTHS. Being nice to stop their calls never worked. They just passed my number to another person. Destroyed my serenity in my home. This has to stop by FCC. My own personal medicare agent can't legally to reach out to me for the next year plan. But these frickin can legally call me all hours of the day? For months ? I want these animals part of the do not call list or fined for each call to me.

I had a scammer call today from “Amazon”. Apparently someone bought gift cards on my account. I’m out with COVID so I decided to screw with him. I kept him tied up for 28 minutes. Lol. Most of that time was having him spell websites again and helping me get connected to the internet lol. I remembered this video popping up in my feed a few weeks ago. I pulled it up and read the captions to get the building name. When I called the guy out he started cussing me but when I asked if he was in the 7th floor of the genesis building he freaked and asked how I knew that!!! I dk t know if he really was but I told him to make his mother proud instead of embarrassed and ashamed to which he replied F off and hung up lol!

I actually had an Indian call center experience recently. I was getting a ton of calls from some medical center in Jacksonville. When I finally decided to answer they asked for "ma'am" and I said "no, it's sir!" Then they hung up quickly. I called back from a different number and someone who sounded legit answered. I told him his office had been hacked by an Indian call center. No idea what happened after that, but all the calls stopped. I was hoping to have some fun messing with them, though, lol.

My friend just had someone try to scam him and when he called him out on it, the guy deleted his whole Facebook, instagram etc and started messing with his banking. It sucks. I wish I knew how to help him. He's a good person and had to put his cat down just a couple days prior. Glad this guy is helping to stop these people.
