Telling the Story: developing your idea

Writing, for me, is a hobby, nothing more. I don't take myself too seriously, still I do have a want to make what I do write to be as good as it possibly can be. I do not over think. I rarely plan. I just let it all come out. It is in the editing that growth occurs or begins to occur. It is like that first draft, wherever it goes, is a seed or multiple seeds that develop as the story progresses and mature largely in the edits. This is only my two cents of course.
