It is so funny, growing up in the Philippines back in the 70's, in our classroom in the province, our teacher would have a trailing vine above the lined up 4 green chalk boards. The vines would start out as a little three leaf plant in a hanging water vase then by the end of the school year, it would trail around framing the boards. Little did I know those were the syngoniums! Now I know!

43:00 Wow, when he said people are on vacation, and he takes care of their bonsai and charges by the inch. That’s amazing. It’s like a pet. I feel like bonsai is one of the coolest plant topics. Spectacular collection. Wish my local nurseries in Pretoria South Africa had such an extensive selection of rare indoor plants.
@cixeau24493 жыл бұрын
haha I was literally thinking the exact same thing. I think most of our nurseries tend to cater more to garden plants. we definitely do have spectacular gardens even if I just take a walk down the road I often come across really fun plants that aren't readily available at nurseries so I have a feeling that the plant tradition in our city leans more towards gardens rather than indoor plants. the more rare indoor plants tend to be found on fancy cpt/jhb based online stores.
