I work at Belle Isle and Jeremy is always fun to visit with and talk to! Pavo is a good boy and follows you through the greenhouse for pettings. Love the conservatory!!! If you've never been I HIGHLY recommend you visit, its truly a wonderful place with lots to see :)

Popping back to this wonderful tour with some helpful information for anyone planning on coming to see this gem. The conservatory will be closed on November 14th until March 2024 for a $10 Million dollar repair and replacement of the dome and glass! All of us Detroiters are REALLY excited to see how it comes out!

Jeremy is a hoot! If I ever randomly ran into him I would of never guessed he was a fittonia guy, unless I ran into him at a big box store as he’s putting them all in his cart. I love that Pavo was just following them around everywhere 🥰!

Between Jeremy’s delightful personality & the sweet fluffball kitty, not to mention the gorgeous collection of planties, this was one of my favorite tours! I love love love these field trip & tour vids including those at Flock Finger Lakes. They’ve brought me so much joy over the past 22 months… little did you know Summer but we have brunch together nearly every Saturday. ☺️ And I’m quickly populating a great list of plant destinations to travel to in the future!

What a tour! Love Jeremy's combination of hilarity and knowledge. My husband and I laughed out loud several times. So fun. And Summer, as always, so impressive with your knowledge and quick wit and graciousness. I grew up in the detroit area but, being new to the plant scene, have never been to this conservatory. Can't wait to go!!

Enjoyed the tour and meeting Jeremy and his cat. So happy for Jeremy that he enjoyed his childhood visiting the conservatory and at 40 was able to make a career working there. A dream come true! I have such great memories of going to places like museums and parks with my Dad and have plants today because of my Dad.

Being a native Detroiter, I had visited the flower house many times and always thought it enchanting. It’s been many years since I’ve been there and it was so enjoyable to go on this tour with the two of you being so knowledgeable. Of course, any place is made better when a cat is put into the mix! OMG! i lived in the Motor for 30 years and this was one of my favorite places. I would come Sunday am at opening hour and have the place all to myself for a couple of hours. Also loved the perenial garden and rose garden and the Aquarium when it was open. Changed so much in 16 years. One day in Summer there was a plant sale in the greenhouse next door. I still have a few plants from that sale. Thanks so much for the tour.

Oh this makes my heart happy! The Belle Isle Conservatory is one of my favorite places. Belle Isle in general is one of my favorite places. My family used to picnic there when I was a child and a trip would not be complete without going to the Conservatory. I hope you also got to visit the aquarium as well (not so much for the fish, but for the fantastic green tile), and the marble fountain. This was terrific. Thanks.
