I had got the opportunity of traveling in this route in all the seasons, winter, summer, rainy seasons, long back when that route was of meter guage built by British. An eye treat. But guage conversion and electrification, doubling was delayed excessively.

I also traveled by road, but the journey was by overnight bus. Several telugu, kannada films were picturized in these train and bus routes, bridges and tunnels, the famous Cumbem Cheruvu (big water tank visible from a distance from the train), which might have missed your attention. In case you happen to cover the route once again, please keep a watch. You did a great job in selecting a day train. All the best.
