I saw a video of a Maori woman marrying a white New Zealander guy. And this video showed a Maori dance, which was also done by the man with the bride's brothers and cousins. I don't know what kind of dance it was, but it looked like quite a big bonding experience. Maori culture is fascinating, I wish we saw more of it. Hell, Hollywood could even make a movie of a Maori legend of Kupe the Navigator about how did Maori end up in New Zealand islands, plus the mythology of this culture is also interesting and Moana only took a fast dip into it.
@Lt.Gruber2 жыл бұрын
The Maori culture he Brings to Boba Fett is what makes the character for me. His sense of family, The people and the spirit within. Boba is no longer just a mysterious man in a helmet, he’s the proud son of Jango, a honorific Tusken and more than a two dimensional character. To see the passion in Temeura as he relates to the role his heartwarming.

Honestly at first I only liked Temuera Morrison because me and him are roughly the same height (stupid I know, but there aren’t that many 5’7 baddasses in film) then I started doing a deep dive into his filmography and history. @@dope8878 I guess you didn’t watch Return of the Jedi. Han whacked his jet pack inadvertently, and he went flying into the pit. That was it for him. Hence, throw away. He wasn’t a threat to our main characters after that. And I’m not talking about all the non canon EU stuff. I don’t count that. Just the movies.
@dope88782 жыл бұрын
@@OldmanSk8ing i did watch it. And I watched empire strikes back. He’s introduced in empire as the best bounty hunter the galaxy has to offer. Out of the 7 or so hunters chosen by Vader himself, boba was the only one actually able to capture him. Darth Vader had to tell him not to disintegrate people, which was a line that was obviously included to show how menacing this bounty hunter threat was. By the time of return of the Jedi, they had no clue Star Wars was going to spawn legends or book spin offs or become some cult fr wb use that would have two more added on trilogies. The return of the Jedi AS A MOVIE, exists to sum up the story of Star Wars. Boba fett dying is NOT because he was a throwaway character. He died because they needed to eliminate all of the bad guy threats that the series had built up until that point. It’s why boba gets death is comedic. It’s not about realism, it’s about a satisfying ending. After watching boba fett hunt down and seal Jan solo in carbonate, it’s rewarding as an audience member that Han Solo being blind is what takes him out. Remember that these are movies first and every thing in the original trilogy was done for the sake of movies, not for the sake of adding to the Star Wars mythos. As far as we were concerned back then, boba fett was the most feared bounty hunter who was amazing at his job. He was then dispatched in episode 6 because they had no clue at the time the series would continue from then on. There’s a reason george lucas put jango fett and the clone stuff into the prequels. Boba fett being popular is definitely the reason.

See this is what I want to think but I can’t help but feel we will never see a second season, or Boba Fett anymore for that matter. Remember Temuera complained to Jon Favreau that he was ruining the character by telling him "this character is supposed to be Mysterious why is he taking off his helmet so much, he doesn't talk this much." Which he revealed in a interview, only for Favreau to tell him to suck it up and go along with the characters retroactive destruction. Look at Temueras Video game depictions of the character, he knows who Boba is meant to be. OP is a moron who misinterprated what Temuera was saying and actually thinks that Temuera was the one that changed Boba and not the Hacks who intentionally ruined his depiction. First of all Djin Djarin/ Mando was completely based off Boba Fett, Hes a Mandalorian Bounty hunter, whos regarded as one of the best in his field, who maintains a mysterious strong and siilent type personality, who barely takes off his Helmet. This is Bobas character. The show did not do Tem, Jango, or Boba justice. Tem is an amazing actor, he’s one of my all time favorites, but he did not shine in this show, not by his fault, but by the faults of the writer (Jon Favreau) and the directors.
@werewolfofmandalore2 жыл бұрын
Dave and Dallas made episodes detached from the Book of Boba that took away from his story and it's not their faults. They made excellent content as they should always, the real blame is on Robert Rodriguez for not having a better story for a Legacy character. To me it seemed like he didn't know what to do beyond getting Boba past the flashbacks that didn't do enough imo, so he had two episodes worth of material left and the Mando team came in. If they had listened to Tem and made his story more serious, and about actually taking over a crime syndicate like we saw in TCW with Maul then perhaps we would have got a story fit for such a badass character.

I feel a bit disappointed for Temuera. He's seems like a genuinely nice guy. But he was let down by the uneven writing of Jon Favreau and show runner Robert Rodriguez in The Book of Boba Fett. The episodes directed by Rodriguez were particularly underwhelming. It seems that Tem's concerns about the character's depiction were ultimately correct. The Boba Fett depicted in The Mandalorian season 2 was more accurate in my humble opinion. Hopefully we will see that version of Boba again in Mando season 3 (& Captain Rex in Ashoka).

he's a tremendous talent. loved him in everything i've seen him in. he was excellent in all of his parts in the prequel trilogy, doing all the clone parts, and Jango. he kicked hella ass in his series. him riding the Rancor was some of the most epic, most iconic scenes ever in Star Wars media. he redeemed the character from his very disappointing ending in the original trilogy. could not have happened to a more deserving guy.

Hahaha wish they would have let him be as wild in the series as he is in interviews.

I regret that I don't have such a strong sense of shared culture. Someday, I'd like to meet Temura and thank him for his brilliant performance.

Jango/Boba were not his only baddie parts Jake the Mus’ was such a POS character….TM seems like a sweetheart…couldn’t believe he played that part so convincingly

He definitely wasn't this happy in that last interview. Sounds like the put the muzzle on him the same way they did with mark hamill when he protested during the TLJ

Why don’t we have a clone or bobba game dedicated to this man. instead we get a lackluster show with none of the hype or emotion the man himself wanted.
