Templar 250 V.S Titan 250 DLX. What Bike is Better??

I bought the Titan in 2022 to help with the rising gas prices and to get around town. So far its done just that for cheap with no mechanical issues. I did do a quasi supermoto mod with shinko 705s tires.

Biggest difference is... The titan dlx has the same 230cc NB engine as the hawk/tao tao tbr7/ etc and the templar has the newer actual 249cc engine. 230 makes 15 HP n the 249 makes 19 hp

Titan uses the cb style overhead cam 223cc while the hawk/tbr7 is the cg style pushrod 229cc

Bar height? Front and rear Shock travel? Adjustable forks and shock, compression, rebound, or nothing front and just preload rear? Curb weight (with gas and oil)? Overall length? Wheelbase? Does Kick Start work with dead battery? Kick start obstructed by footpeg? Footpeg spring on right side removed so it can fold up when starting? (some china bikes come this way) I'm finding no two websites that agree on anything but tire size regarding this bike, if you have first hand knowledge from measuring, weighing etc, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the review and up-close videos. I would be cautious about overselling what these can do. No one should be buying a $1400 dirtbike to do freestyle motocross, backflips, tricks over the bars, or take one to the X-Games. And stay out of the skate park especially when kids are skating there like in your other video.

Bro, the suspension on either bike can't handle any significant jump, and freestyle bikes are highly modified for a reason. You take that bike on an MX track and you might last 1 heat and thats a big might.

Also new Chinese bike is the KPX250. It's the 249cc butfuel injected. Makes 20HP and so far only sold by Venom Motorsports. Love these disposable dualsport.

Templar M is 5 speed. X is counter-balanced 6 speed. Titan has the 230cc engine making 15 hp and Templar has 250cc making 19 hp.

Axles, seals, and bearings. You want to line up the axles before you send them home, so they don’t corrode and stick when you’re trying to remove them later. You live the seals, so the axles don’t scuff them up when you insert the axle.

Hello. great video! Very informative. Q: I’m looking to buy a bike for basic riding around town, Bombing through curves on nearby hilly roads, etc. Trying to decide between the Templar X 250 and the Titan DLX 250 currently. Someone also recommended the Apollo DB36 as well. Kind of leaning towards Templar X due to the larger displacement and bonus of 6th gear. Would most likely swap tires over to a 6/40 or 50/50 tread regardless of which bike I get for better road handling if that a variable. Any insights or thoughts are very much appreciated. Just remember they sell the templer with a 5speed and a 6speed transmission. So make sure you order the 6speed if that's what your looking for

The Templar X is heavier because it has more stuff on it and it is a 6-speed transmission adding more weight. I would recommend the Templar X if you are going to do more adventure riding and less jumps. If you are focused on doing jumps I would recommend the Templar m

No need on 4 stroke. Just avoid red lining it until it's second out change. At least that's what I did on my titan but there is no break in on a 4 stroke. See the dirtbike channel for more info on that.
