Great video! When I was in Jerusalem at the time, I ate and drank deliciously there and relieved myself wonderfully! So I'm glad I was able to leave something of myself there. I'm Dutch and one of the slang words for urine is 'pies' and that sounds like peace or piece... Btw: the essence of the Christian faith is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

I came here from your recent personal video at Tel Gezer. One thing that strikes me about ancient history is realizing that even though our modern lives seem different, the people of old laughed, cried, and needed to eat, sleep, and relieve themselves just like we do. I can tell from the practical, educational, and humorous details throughout this video that you are a quality tour guide, Oren. The city of Jerusalem (especially the Old City) is a place dear to my heart, but I had not heard about or seen the public toilet in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, so thanks for this tour. I appreciate how you say that peace will not come by dramatic actions of rulers or wars or government edicts, but simply by people meeting each other in the midst of basic life. We all need hope for peace, now more than ever.

I have watched the guides change emphasis of history to cater to the tour group. You Oren are the most fair, knowledgable, genuine, humurous guides i have come across. Anyone you guide through the city would benefit. I have been appreciating all your hard work. Well done! Shalom

A delight, Oren! By far the best tour of the many I have seen about Jerusalem. As much as I want to tour I see it would be mostly impossible for me since I can't do stairs. But more tours like this would be wonderful. This is the "real" Israel. Your exuberance and humor make the experience breathtaking and fun. Political videos are very informative and necessary but the tours to the nooks and cranny's are the best. As always, thank you for the trip. Now I want to hit a really good felafel (sp) joint!

This was an extraordinaire clip especially the one where all religious quarters of the old city meet. I went to Israel as a teenager for the first time in 1968 and of course visited the old city and walked through it to get to the Wailing Wall. In doing so, I remember to this day, the horrible stench of public latrines that were previously ran by the Jordanians. As an aside, walking down the steps in the old city, I encountered big chunks of meat on the steps. As one can imagine they were millions of flies over them. I went to Israel the first time as I said in 68 then subsequently in 69 70, 71 and 72. The horribly smelling latrines were gone. Every streets in the old city were spotlessly clean. I can’t imagine the Palestinians dreaming of their old backward ways. Keep on producing these incredible videos.

@@idaselinahobbs9031 - This is totally important. 1. Water: Here in Germany I gave some American travellers some juice, because they had no water any more and underestimated the heat here in east Germany in the summer. We have here no wells or some public drinking-water sources. Here in my tiny village we have a shop where you can buy beverage, but not at the weekend. 2. Toilet: You can go in the wide areas of the woods or the grassland here on the natural toilet, but if you are in the city, then this could be a real problem. In the city here, there are no public toilets, so you have to go into the Hotel/Restaurant, even if you do not have a room there and do not eat there. There is no other possibility.

As someone with an overactive bladder, I have to find the bathroom everywhere I go so if I were traveling there, I'd certainly want to see your video! Well done for those needing to know. I wish more people would actually do videos like this. I'm so sorry Oren that a war has begun. I hope you don't get called up on the reserves. I'm sure you will go if need be but I certainly don't want you going, we want you safe. Praying you, your family and all extended friends and family remain safe. It looks horrendous already over there. My heart just breaks for all who already who have died/been hurt. I pray this ends as soon as possible and that peace returns to Israel. There were American and British teachers as well which highlighted some of the cultural differences we laughed about at times. Pronunciation differences were also a source of amusement. I discovered traveling Israel quite a while ago and immediately became hooked.
