Same for me. Twice visited 2007 and 2018 and still more to learn from this video. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is incredible! I explored more my 2nd time there and discovered so many levels and rooms. It is easy to understand it wasn’t all built at the same time.

Come, Let us Rebuild the LORDS Temple. Muhammads "Night Journey" to Al-Aqsa. During muhammads time, there was no Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. In fact there was no Mosques in Jerusalem during Muhammads times. And their was no Temple, just a Temple Mount during muhammads times. Al-Aqsa was built in 681 year and finished in 705 year. That's about 59 years after muhammads death. The Dome of the Rock was finished by the son of the caliph, Abdul Malik and Malik died in 705 year. Muhammad supposedly jumped on the back of Al-burak. Al-burak is a hybrid kind of creature that looks human but with the body and shape of a mule or donkey. I repeat there was no Al-Aqsa or dome of the rock during muhammads times. The Al-Aqsa and dome of the rock were built about 59 years after Muhammads death. Read Chapter 17 of the Quran book

Having been to Jerusalem many times (I live in Israel), I have never before received so much information about this history; It is now easy to see how complicated the conflict over ownership of Jerusalem is; everyone grabbing a piece and declaring it as theirs. This is the most contested piece of real estate in the world.

Well, the Muslims coming only in 600, have not much claim there. They already found everything there. They belong in Meca. They can leave the Jews and the Christians in peace. They must not complicate our lives. They are real troublemakers.

The hatred comes from the Muslims. They do not belong there. After all they only showed up after more than 600 years, and now they want to claim everything, even Judea the land of the Jews, before Christ.

Really interesting vlog. I greatly appreciate Danny's respectful descriptions of Catholic/Christian traditions that not everyone will believe in, but he treats them with wonder and respect. Thank you for another great vid. I agree with a previous commentor who said one positive consequence of covid is getting these videos with no, or very few, tourists in them so that places and objects can be easily seen. However, you and Danny need the tourists to return, so hopefully not too much longer to wait! Thank you for getting this footage during this time period of uncrowded tourist locations! ❤️❤️

The days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never gave birth, and the breasts that never nursed.’ 30 Then, ‘they will begin to say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us.”’ 31 For if they do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?” Luke

In the late 1980 I went, with a group of Greeks, on a memorable pilgrimage to Israel. At the completion of the pilgrimage we received a certificate confirming we had completed the Hagg. so, if we chose, we could prefix our surname with Haggi so Papadopoulos could become Haggipadpoulos. We went to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth ..... The places we visited were so evocative of the scriptures - we it was time to leave I vowed I would return ..

A thousand thanks for such a gift! I am Catholic and have never been to Jerusalem. This video shows so much of what is precious to me that I could never otherwise see. I would add a thought concerning the mural of Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac. Because the ram that God offered to Abraham in Isaac's stead is caught by its great horns in a bush of thorns, it is possible to understand this as an image of God substituting His own Son in place of Abraham's child. Christ does give Himself in place of the animal sacrifices that were offered to God for sins, but these animals represented the people who offered them. Christ, like the ram, at His crucifixion was wreathed by thorns. So this image in Sacred Scripture is to show how one Father"s (Abraham) son is saved by the substitution of the ultimate Father's Son (God's own Son). Also, a horn, because it grows from the head, represents the power of the intellect. The ram is held in this crown of thorns representing the torments of men that flow from their sins which Christ bears and absolves by His justice.
@useyourdelusion68079 ай бұрын
Hevrews dont need animal sacrifice for forgiveness. The temple sacrifice was only for unintentiinal sins, which yom kippur effectively handles when there is no temple. But for regular "sins" hevrews need only genuinely repent direct to hashem.. no intermediary is necessarry.
