my god chris................. what a voice.... the greatest

There isn’t a soul on earth that can hit those chest voice highs like Chris , I’ve seen hundreds of covers and Chris definitely made sure that the last round of chorus would be above and beyond !!
@0nelao996 Жыл бұрын
if im not mistaken this is a rare performance of hunger strike in which case Cornell sing all the high notes from the chest, just forcing them all like a fury dog. Shit was crazy, but the others perfomance of it, with “polished” techniques, was actually more suitable, for this song

goddamn they sounded so on point here, chris' voice still had that blazing fire to it. probably their best live performance.

Matt Cameron playing Dave Abbruzzese's kit. Fucking epic.

Oh man, i was to post the same. Another drumhead like me? Is funny to see Matt messing around with Daves kit at the beggining of the vid. Matt is like..."oh look at all these little thingys", and Dave is watching and thinking "yeah, just dont brake my shit". Camerons a powerful drummer!!!

@@darrellabbott8828Matt defines that era of drums - he just got it! He could have fallen into any of the Seattle set and it would have worked - his playing on Superunknown is the bar to beat (see what I did there!). He plays straight a lot too, knows how to serve the song!

@@Baron_Greenback I personally like Dave more. To me, Vs & Vitalogy were PJ’s best, and it’s No Coincidence those are Dave’s only 2 albums. Dave brought a Grit & a Messy LIVE feel to those 2 albums. The reason I love The Rolling Stones so much is that from 1968-1972, their albums sounded so LIVE. That’s what Dave brought to Pearl Jam -- he brought that LIVE feeling to Studio Recordings.

Thank You for this.... I was actually there. I remember at the time thinking wow, this was an album that was just getting attention on the radio. I had no idea at the time this would be one of only a handfull of performances that Temple of the Dog would play live with all the original members. Keep in mind this is at around 1pm. People were still arriving. Pearl Jam was 1st on the bill at noon and this set happened right after Pearl Jams crazy set.

This is easily the best audio I’ve heard of this performance. There’s better video out there but Chris’ vocals are barely audible on them. This one’s great.

So funny to see that when at the time there was no cell phones to record, everybody was completely in the show not loosing one second of it all, now we are sometimes too busy to press the record button or zoom or being careful not to drop the gadget... hahahahaha Such epic times!!
