Picked this one up and couldn’t be happier. The mod side by itself is incredible, I own many mod effects (MXR Keely Strymon Fairfield Walrus) the vibrato w/invert could replace them all.

I preordered this after JHS talked about it a while back, had it for about 6 months now. Haven't got to use the DI function yet but it's a fantastic sounding pedal. Don't think it will leave my board anytime soon, at least not until I make a separate pedalboard for baritone guitar and bass which it'll definitely go on. Awesome for synths too, not just guitar and bass! My only gripe with it is that there's no bypass lights, just the overload light and the modulation intensity/speed light.

Where did you put it in your chain order?

@isaacramirez2238 I tend to order my pedals "wrong", but this actually does sound best at the end of the chain as though my whole rig is running through a console. Only my Echosystem for ambient delay and reverbs, amp reverb, and tremolo come after it. My usual chain is tuner -> Pelican Noiseworks Pelitaur (my favorite fuzz, a very clever dual parallel fuzz circuit that looks like a Klon) -> EQD Data Corrupter (PLL monosynth) -> Ross Phaser (vintage, although I really want a reissue) -> Proco Rat (drive/fuzz) -> Death By Audio Exploding Head (self-oscillating triple delay) -> Reel Dealuxe -> Empress Echosystem (delay, chorus, lofi, and reverb) -> amp with tremolo and spring reverb

Pretty cool, but I think random vibrato would have been better. I already have a Deco v2, but hey, this one is cheaper and has more gain options, but imo the Deco remains untouched.

They market themselves similarly, but I’d argue their drive tones don’t compete. The Deco-my favorite pedal-does a great “transparent-ish but sweetened” light OD thing. But it can’t do the blown out console thing that the Reel excels at. To my ear, I put this next to the JPTR FX Jive and maybe even the JHS Color Box.

@@offkilter Ok, that makes sense. I think the Deco is the best pedal I have ever owned lol I have a Halberd v2 in my drive chain that sort of does blown out tweed, but not really a blown out console, I might need to try one out.
