Woah, yes. I just get a temp put in yesterday and they didn't tell me any of this. As soon as I tried to drink something, I felt a sharp quick pain and knew instantly that I will be drinking through a straw and eating on the opposite side of my mouth for a while.

This is great! But what do you do if it's the weekend and you're not open? Is there something you can recommend that can be used until you get to the dentist???????

Hi doctor, I got a temporary crown on one of my molars. I'd had a pretty big filling on that tooth and the dentist drilled it down and then placed on an aluminum temporary crown. I couldn't feel it at the time because I was all number up from novocain, but later in the day as my tongue went over the teeth, I noticed that there is a space between my newly-temporary-crowned molar and the adjacent tooth. I don't think that space was there before, but it's hard to say since my cavity was placed on it maybe 20+ years ago. I called my dentist but the gal at the office didn't seem to think this was a big deal. Will the permanent crown fit better than this temporary one? I have no pain when I bite on the new temporary crown, and there isn't any sensitivity with hot or cold foods/liquids. Any advice? Thank you.

My mom said the temporary isn’t the right fit. She said the permanent will fit better. They have to make it. I got mine done today and I noticed I can’t bite down all the way because of the temporary crown. I even addressed it after my procedure. The girl said it was fine. 🤷‍♀️

Not at all! This is not at all like your real crown. This temp is flat and wides the real one willl have indentations, be smaller, and fit exactly like the previous one.

I got severe pain on my temp crown after rct part 1 my next procedure is permanent crown is 2 weeks onward from last procedure u said 3 weeks is the recommended wait but the endo said 2 weeks time also is pain less than that of first procedure for temporary filling to that of after procedure 2 for permanent crown

Just got my temp crown on front tooth and it doesn’t look good at all you can see where it cuts off a little below my gums. Will the permanent one look any better?

Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I just had a temporary crown put in and accidentally chewed on that side and the pain was sharp, is this normal? I have never had this happen before. Thank you

Did u get it glued back on next day? I got a temporary one today and its already loose
