I did this technique on my locs. Then I dipped them in fabric softner 3x to remove the shine so that they would look more natural. it worked. love it

I know this vid is old lol but to anyone just coming across this, if you want to prevent the wrapped hair from slipping down over time I would pull the 2in through with a crochet hook instead of just folding it down. Then when you wrap it can’t creep down. I’m about to try that and see what happens. This is a great tutorial I’m so excited!!

This is so much better than the crochet method that tears into your existing locs. I'd like to see what back combing would look like instead of wrapping all the way down tho.

I don't know if you still read these comments. You helped me. I have locs but wanted to add color without dying or bleaching my hair... Going to try it tonight. So excited. I wish I'd thought to look on KZbin first. Then again, I don't think they have the best hair in the colors I want. I wanted to try something crazy since I'm an artist. We'll see. You could snip off the very tip to cause unravelling of the wrapped extension hair. Next, slide the ext. hair off the loc then take a loose the braid that was used to secure the extension hair on the loc hair.

Can we get a take down video please! I just did yarn wraps using yiur tutorial on my husband's hair and they came out great but they took SO long! Before I did them I wanted to do them on my hair but I decided against it. I think this will take a lot less time though. I have half a head of locks but there are still like 170-200 of them.
