@potmeetkettle3 жыл бұрын
@@ikumi5518 Short answer: It depends on the person you’re with. You have to know how your words will affect the person you’re with/why they are asking this. Some women (like me) will ask that question and then jokingly (making it 100% clear it’s a joke during the time I’m doing this) will start bawling like “oh so you want someone else huh? 😿 I’m not good enough? 🥺” This usually leads to cuddles and kisses and saying sweet nothings to each other. However, some women will get EXTREMELY upset with whatever answer you give. If you say no “Oh so you think I’m stupid huh? She is a super model and you think I’m dumb enough to believe that you don’t find her attractive?” If you say yes “You lying cheating (bleep)! I always knew you were no good! Get out!” And there are a million other ways a person could react, rightly or wrongly, justified or not. So it just depends. The best advice I can give is: Know your partner well. Hope that helps.

@potmeetkettle3 жыл бұрын
@@ikumi5518 True, but I would like to say that there could be a difference between someone who gets mad at the answer and someone who is insecure. An insecure person may have some (severe) self esteem issues that could come from trauma. A person who gets angry at this question could be because they want to cause drama and/or is a toxic manipulative person. You don’t have to deal with either of those personality traits if you don’t want to, but I did feel it was worth mentioning that there could be a difference. Regardless, Hope you are able to find and maintain a true love! 🥂

He went in there knowing and with the intention of making her jealous, thinking she would throw herself at him even more. But once he realised that it only drove her away, he freaked tf out. "oh no, I'm losing this clingy ass behaviour that makes me feel so good about myself, shit shit". And now he's tryna manipulate, guilt trip and gaslight her into staying in that arguably toxic ass relationship with him. tbh, it's a lot easier to break men, pretty effectively too. lots of dudes kill themselves as opposed to women, after all. it's not just because of "toxic masculinity" or whatever, there genuinely still is an expectation for men to be stoic and stalwart. incels would probably tell you it's all a conspiracy by the matriarchy or whatever, but imo, it's good because it weeds out a lot of the weaker men who are prone to giving up and don't have enough conscientiousness to see and prevent the devastating impact on your social circles that taking your own life has.

While I do agree that shows like these are super fucked up and profit from the anguish of these couples, imo, if you’re gonna bring your partner to a place called “Temptation Island” to prove you won’t fuck each other over, you should already have a therapist on speed dial.

This show reminds me of when I was in high school. In Spanish class, we read a short play called, "Don't Complicate Love." It's about a young couple who feel that their relationship is so vanilla, and the boyfriend wants some excitement, so the girl invents a story about another man trying to get with her. The boyfriend plays along and insists on fighting this man. She tells him that the other guy is in the bushes and has a gun. The boyfriend walks off to confront him (which is offstage), and then there is a gunshot. The girl jumps up in a panic, and that's how the play ends. The moral of the story is, don't create drama just for the sake of drama, or it'll blow up in your face.
@vidoterkk29813 жыл бұрын
Real story in my city: a couple was walking down the street, and a group of hooligans passed them by. One of them yelled "Nice ass" to this dude's gf, what he ignored. Girl being dumb AF, started yelling at her bf to say something to them. He approached the group, told them to apologize, fight ensued, he got stabbed and died. All because she felt he should "protect her honor" or whatever.

I’m happy for Ashley, you could tell she wasn’t valued in the relationship by Casey and she probably had a lot of anxiety losing him at the beginning bc she didn’t think she was valuable (that’s why she was constantly crying) and when she realized that and began to find her own happiness that’s when he realized what he was losing and began to scramble to fix something that was just too late. He should’ve just realized what he had and appreciate it but he just didn’t.
@albinosh4dow3 жыл бұрын
Did she truly “find her own value” if all she did was find another guy to tell her she has value? I didn’t watch the show so I genuinely don’t know but if all she did was go from one guy to another I feel as though that isn’t as big of a character development as people are estimating
@anjis.55323 жыл бұрын
@@albinosh4dow I didn’t think her finding another guy was her “finding her own happiness” moment, it was her taking herself out of that situation and leaving someone that didn’t appreciate her, and you could see that just from how much her changed from the start to the end of the show just from the clips that were shown in the video :)
@fakename91863 жыл бұрын
Seems more like she just rebounded to some other dude and now has trust issues. And surprise, surprise, the guy turned out to be a cheating dickhead anyways. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHm6dZmel9yVZpY Casey seems like he did like Ash but was too insecure to show it so he kind of just projected. Not saying it would've been a good relationship but hell, couldn't have been worse than Ben.
@y0bisman9593 жыл бұрын
this makes allot of sense and i say this from experiencing exactly what Ashley had gone through. she was not shown much value and was almost forgotten in her own relationship. im glad as to how it turned out in the end where Casey was begging for her to come back but it was to just late. when you make someone hurt that bad and then prolong to fix it then later when they have had enough of it and decide to leave you because they are rather happier away from you than with you then you have to right over them and its best for you to realize the mistakes you have made and live with the regret for the rest of your life. as long as that regret helps you not make the same mistake and you learn from it.
@anjis.55323 жыл бұрын
@@fakename9186 personally I didn’t care about the relationship and never thought that was going to last with her and Ben. I’m just saying her finding her value and leaving Casey is the growth she needed to get out of it, because obviously if she stayed with Casey she was just always going to be undervalued and be an anxious mess like she was at the beginning. I don’t think Casey was bad, but he got too comfortable, he probably had gotten away with a lot of stuff already that he’s done that was disrespectful to her but she stilled stayed which made him think that it was okay to continue doing those things.

I haven't watched the show but I know Casey in real life and he's a super nice, emotional guy. Like Noel said he didn't know what the vibe was in the opening intro scenes, and since Noel didnt show what Casey replied after Ashley said "why do you say that" (would help to hear Caseys actual response to that question for context, ya know), I can only assume that in the show the response was cut out, or, both those things were snippets from different conversations in an hour long raw footage that they just took out of context and spliced. Reality shows do this all the time, I'm not sure what they were expecting when they signed up lmao. But yeah, also on his instagram stories he was also posting about it, cant remember most but I definitely remember a shift when he realized how much they were taking things out of context to make Ashley upset, and was openly talking about the producers for a while lol
