I do think the cat cafe segments (in all) are about Arajin (the customer) and Matakara's (Jasmine) relationship. Like it starts with their first meeting as kids, goes up to the gift of the stone stamp (the choker in the cat cafe) and then has Arajin ditch Matakara for Mahoro (choosing Pu'er over Jasmine). And just like the other characters in the show and the audience themselves, the cat cafe receptionist wants the customer (Arajin) to be there for Jasmine (Matakara).
