Well I did and he was a kind SWEET PERSONABLE, WONDERFUL person whom render stimulating conversation abided with humor. Our meeting was not after a concert, a crack house, nor any ilrepute situation. Thank you for this post of this song. The whole song makes me feel so great but when the backing vocals sing that chorus part: "whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh---- I love my baby sooo-"---- I bust out and blubber like a baby! and I don't understand why?!!! Maybe its something you only hear when you go back to music of the 60's and 1950's doo wop. It lets you know you are listening to a song from a time when a boy in love with his girl would sing like that. Whatever it is you know you're never gonna hear it unless you go way back to a different time.

I don't believe in living in the past, but the great thing about music is that it's cumulative and you can validly make the past the present if you like the music. The Tempts were great and worked hard practicing their dance moves as well as releasing so many great tunes. Berry Gordy really knew what he was doing, assembling a lot of talented people. I saw the Temptations live on the Steel Pier in Atlantic City in the late 60's. It was the original group and I'm glad that I had the opportunity to see them. Good music endures. I'll never tire of these guys.

LOL !! All of The Temptations' greatest records were written by members of THE MIRACLES !!! THIS song was written by Miracles members Smokey Robinson, Bobby Rogers, and Pete Moore . MY BABY was originally a "B" side . DON'T LOOK BACK was the original "A" side. But, when that song failed to reach the Top 40, Motown reversed the sides, making MY BABY the "A" side , relegating DON'T LOOK BACK to "B " side status. Ironically, today, decades later, DON'T LOOK BACK has proven to be far more popular than MY BABY...having inspired cover versions by : Al Green, Phil Collins, Bobby Womack, The Persuasions, Teena Marie, Peter Tosh and Mick Jagger , Belgian singer Dirk De Smet ,David Lindley , and Phil Collins. as of 2017, here are no known cover versions of "My Baby" By the way, DON'T LOOK BACK was written by Miracles members Smokey Robinson , and Ronnie White...the SAME two Miracles that wrote The Temptations' "MY GIRL".
