I’ve bought several things from Temu that was okay but some of the stuff was just cheap junk made in China. Fortunately they do accept returns so I’ve done that with the items I didn’t want. I have purchased many things from Temu, the key thing to remember is ready descriptions and look at the pictures carefully, many times they will show measurements in the pictures. Heck I found and purchased the "Clearly Perfect Slotted trimmers" 2 piece set for under $6.00USD. You know these sell for about $30.00 USD here in the states. Sadly when I went back to buy more for guild members they were sold out. I have also purchased the same set of seam guides as well as many different rules, all of good quality. Temu is the place to get some wonderful deals if you pay attention.

You have to look at all the pics. They always show dimensions in cm and inches. Have a ruler on hand to look up ;the dimensions. Moda should sue Temu for using the term jelly roll when in fact these are 2/5 strips by 19.5 inches. I also saw a headline for fat quarters, which were in described dimensions as 10 " by 10 ". Go below the pictures to item description and usually it will say the fabric content/ the headline may say cotton, but content may be cotton or polyester cotton. Beware but you can get fabric at a good price. I look at fabric then go back. Usually the next day that fabric is offered to me at half price.

I wash in hot water with color catchers all my Temu fabric. Then in a hot dryer. Yes, even the 4.9 inch squares. I separate the pack of 50 or 100. I then put them in a hot dryer. Surprisingly very colorfast and a trace of shrinkage and hardly no fraying. I then I lay them out on a big piece of cardboard and spray them with Niagra spray starch till lightly soaked, when dry, I iron them with a dry iron. I get great squares of crisp fabric which I use in quilts, I am in my 1930s phase of patterns. I think that our quilting foremothers would use this fabric as they used well-worn shirts, undergarments, pants, dresses, and feed/flour sacks. I don't think they would be so picky as quilters purport themselves to be. Absolutely no promblems with the quilts. I have also purchases wovens/homespun type fabrics that were excellent to use in my denim rag quilts. The upshot is, that there are practically no US manufacturers. On is the Fabric Mill in New York. Cherrywood hand dyed fabrics are hand dyed in the US but they don't say where they get their muslin. Most high quality cotton muslin is made in Pakistan. As to slave labor, is you drive a battery powered vehicle, the rare earths used in making the earth polluting battery are mined by child slave labor Look it up if you're fastidious about not supportin slave labor.

Just make sure they are not sprayed with the colour and that the colour is actually IN the bead, they do stipulate so its easy if you look and read. I also bought one of their dutch ovens to make my bread in and it is perfect, you can use it for casseroles and anything else, but I keep it for bread.I have bought various quilting supplies and fabrics and the fabrics often feel scratchy and smelly at first but the more you wash them the better and softer they get. I did by a couple of metres of a lovely linen with a pattern on and made my favourite dress out of it. I live mainly in hot climate so linen is perfect here and the more I wash it the softer it gets and easy to iron too. I paid over $300 for a similar linen dress which washes similarly and is definitely no better than the linen I bought from Temu for a few dollars. Then you will have limited choices. Most of quilting brand name fabric is manufactured in South Korea, Indonesia, India, and China. Some for sewing tools and most stuff.

i agree, their descriptions are horrible. From other reviews their layer cakes are assorted size squares and not anywhere near 40 pieces. I guess that is what you get dealing with the Chinese mafia.

I would never buy from temu. The smell is probably coming from the dye which is not a good sign. Not impressed at all!

Be careful of the lead content of those cheap rings...they may be hazardous to the health of "little" people. Unless they were lead free (coming from China I would doubt that) I would not touch them with a 10 foot pole much less expose my grandkids to them. So many things from China have extremely high lead content as well as other hazardous metals.

Oh that’s too bad. I would have been very disappointed as well. It seems by the comments that some people got exactly what they thought they ordered and some, well not so much. It seems that some of the descriptions can be misleading. Thanks for sharing that😊❤️

The fabric from Temu is not of a good quality for quilting. And the rotary blades are worthless DULL

Thank you for letting us know about the rotary cutters. 😊❤️🪡🧵

I would NEVER buy fabric or clothing from temu, the overall quality is poor at best. The cutting on fabric is dreadful. To get an item of clothing that is good quality is an absolute miracle

It’s tempting, but knowing it is Chinese owned, I resisted.

For what, pretty ambiguous statement you have just made, personally I hope they give Bezo a run for their money
