He had kind of a gut in BoBF, but I don’t mind it and I think it works for the character. Boba isn’t the swashbuckling young bounty hunter he used to be, he’s gotten older, put on some weight, and now he’s the new mob boss on Tatooine which doesn’t have the same physical requirements his old career did. I mean, he really does fit the stereotypical mafia boss who’s older, wise, and cunning but is still as deadly despite lacking the agility, fitness, and youth of his subordinates. Edit 2: (replies that may address the reply you’re going to leave) -“I see y’all’s point, so correction: if you ignore the massively chronologically screwed pre-Boba finding Fennec part of the story or just start at the part where he’s a mob boss, it makes sense or whatever.” -“…yeah he was kinda dumb at times, but I put that more on the writers than on the character. He’s wise and cunning but the dumb writers had him make dumb decisions.” “…I blame Boba not acting wise, cunning, etc. on the writers being dumb, not on the character being dumb. Boba Fett has these qualities, but if the writers choose for him to act out of character and make dumb decisions, that’s their fault.”

Thats a irrelevant point vomited out soley to generalize a group of people. Boba fett is a established character with a marked physique, its his job as a actor to not only act like the character but to look like him as well. Especially since being Boba involves wearing his armor, which looks ridiculous on someone who is overwieght and makes the audience take him less seriously as a believable threat, hence the jokes.
