Almost the entire album of Daniel Lavoie "Tension Attention" released in 1983 was programmed by Daniel DeShaime on the first LinnDrum available in Canada at the time. Producer John Eden (Der Kommissar) decided that it was so great, he recorded all the drum tracks before recording the other instruments. All they had to do after that was to follow the beat. :D

You Spin Me Round (Like a record), Relax and Flashdance...What a Feeling were all done on a Linn LM-1 Drum Computer. In You Spin Me Round, the cowbell was tuned high and only the LM-1 had all the sounds tunable. The cowbell on the LinnDrum can’t be tuned. Take on me did use the LinnDrum, but A-Ha used different sounds.

You Spin Me Round (Like a record) was done on a LM-1, not the LinnDrum. A good indication is that the cowbell is tuned high, and only on the LM-1 were all the sounds tunable. On the LinnDrum, however, only the snares, slapstick, and the congas were tunable. This was the drawback of the LinnDrum, as not all the sounds were tunable.

I love vintage drum machines, as well as modern ones. I own the Behringer RD8, so can get so many classic 808 sounds. I've recently purchased a Boss DR-670 & I can create so many of the classic sounds on this small drum machine. All of the drum sounds can be tuned from very low to very high, along with other clever tweeks, so it gets sounds close to the 808, 909 & Linn drum machines & many moore. It has 64 drum kits & 64 percussion kits, plus 64 kits you can customise to create your own sounding kits. This little thing has saved me thousands of pounds, as I don't have to purchase any vintage drum machines to get classic beats, pitty I didn't purchase this before buying the Behringer RD8, but I do love the RD8! I really enjoyed your demos, your programming of the beats are great, I'm going to recreate some of them on my DR-670 & play along with my bass guitar. Bless.

A public FAVOR, please, since there are many stupid people in this world who apparently throw tantrums without a reason - please don't complain that there's no Prince in this ten-song demo video. Besides the fact than with ten songs there's not space to cover everybody, the main reason is that the most iconic Prince songs didn't use the LinnDrum, but the Linn LM-1. When I will get an LM-1 and make a video about it, you can be sure that there will be Prince songs in it. If you're not familiar with the LM-1, please look it up: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linn_LM-1

To be fair (re: Human League), though Martin Rushent has said it was LM-1, Phil and the girls don't help matters! :P They routinely insist that it was the LinnDrum, when _all_ documentation shows it was an LM-1. And as per the wiki article: unfortunately, the list of users has been removed; supposedly it was "objective", even though evidence can be found all over the web :P
