As a ypung man back in the late 80s working prodution welding after school i was fascinated by mig wedding. My dad was welding back before mig and i would ask him. Could you build something by just welding into shape? We talked about how impractical it was for years. Even tried to weld a plate form once. Had hours in and it was maybe 2 inches of crap. Fast forward to this. Addative manufacturing if such a cool field. Kinda wish i was still doing industrial maintenance. Be cool to work on this level of equipment.
