Hi,great video. just wanted to drop in to ask why ML is used to link the user with the drivers in uber and whatnot, cant you simply link the user to the nearest free driver? if not, why not? Thanks a ton for the great session

I suppose it needs to work out the closest driver in terms of how close they are in minutes as opposed to the closest driver geographically? Must be a similar (perhaps the same?) algorithm that solves how long it will take you to go from A to B on a map app, it’s just it will be constantly adjusting for real-time location of the drivers and changing traffic/weather conditions etc?
