The problem with this is that the "simply realize that you're already and only the true Self and in bliss" approach simply doesn't work for most people. Perhaps because most are identified with ego and then you have an ego thinking that it is what's eternal. That's why spiritual practice is necessary. How can a practice that assumes limitation reveal the truth that there is no limitation? It's a good question, and the answer is that it's one of the paradoxes that exist with the realm of the created universes. All the great realizers of truth did a practice in one form or another at some point. And I mean avatars too and not just avadhoots. This great teacher himself taught a practice, i.e., asking "who am I"? If you study the spiritual literature closely you can find adepts stating apparently contradictory things. What counts is who they're talking to, the time in history, the location, etc. They'll say what needs to be said at that moment. It might change the following day.

@@gaaanaaa Namaste. its complicated but i can explain. Maharshi believed in Brahman and all Hindu gods are different names and forms and are manifestations of Brahman the singularity and it is omnipotence of that singularity that whole creation, gods and us and every living thing manifests out of brahman so idol worship is nothing but a big confusion for western mind it is god/self worship in reality. god for dualist perspective and self for non-dualist perspective and hence there is only self and no other there and the others are maya is no need to worship the second because second doesn't exist to non-dualist so Maharshi was not an atheist if he believed in brahman the singularity. I agree the source of creation is within us its brahman within us and its not in the heaven or up above earth. the reason why maharshi didn't prayed to any god is simple he was non-dualist (advait guru) for a non-dualist only one consciousness/brahman and for a non-dualist only god/self exists and that is in self so you are that (tat twam asi). i am brahman (ahambrahasmi). Shiva is another name of brahman or conscious part or attribute of brahman. so the original comment has nothing wrong. all hindu philosophies meet and intersect and connects

@@gaaanaaa 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦 we cant prove god exists nor can we prove god doesn't exist. this is what yogis and buddhas preach, we can only seek what we ant to seek. it seems you are the one who is misguided. it dosent matter you believe in god or not, belief will not change your life. even if god exist you dont force anyone to believ in god and even if you dont believe in god you cant force anybody to believe that god dosent exist. gods presence and experience are to be experienced and felt by practical means there are various tantric practices, yantra pooja, etc and all not even hindus know much about those secret arts, those who have no idea about have no right to talk about it. only that way we can realize and know god exists. belief is not allowed. belief leads to blind belief. i don't care weather Maharshi recited mantras or not. and i also know that mantras are not just for japah they have much deeper use. i agree he didnt believe in anything he know about brahman he also maentioned brahman in his quotes. it is you who is far from the truth not me. it is you who is assuming that god dosent exist. in the original comment he says "Om Namah Shivay" and "Tat Twam asi." you have no right to comment against his belief. that's pure hinduphobia. Raman Maharshi, Yogis and Buddhas never preach to go against anothers faith. stay away if you dont undrstand the meaning of tat twm asi or if you dont agree.

@@gaaanaaa God or no God, both are the ideas only. If one has no idea of galaxy, still, it's there. On the other hand, if one belives in the existence of galaxy, he is/isn't right. So it's not necessary that a belief has to be false only, if someone believes in it. It can be true also.

@@gaaanaaa Sorry not true. Ramana Maharishi chose the pathway of Dhayana yoga or meditation pathway (to remove past karma in the expanded consciousness state and get moksha (microcosm to macrocosm) which is also based on the same core Vedic metaphysics Sankhya, dharma, karma, reincarnation and Moksha like other pathways including hindu temple tradition, Jnana yoga and Karma yoga. . Atheism was created to counter blind belief Abrahamic religions (based on monotheism) which says that there is just a transcendent god who is totally disconnected from the universe after creating it out of thin air using a magic wand. There is no so called "idol worship" in hindu temples. Stone deities in hindu temples are for 2 reasons. 1. They are used as objects of attraction (so bathed, given food, dressed up) for focus and meditation in the presence of Sanskrit mantra vibrations, augmented by temple architecture. This technique is for reaching samadhi state which is nothing but the disappearance of perception of subject (you) and object (external world) split momentarily (temple tradition) or temporarily and permanently (in Yoga tradition) to remove past karma or cause and effect (stored in the subtle body Chitta) and stop reincarnation (birth/death duality cycle) or to fulfil desires with reduced karmic burden 2. Stone deities are also symbolic representations of the well validated Vedic metaphysics Sankhya, nature (surya, chandra devatas etc) and laws of nature (Karma, Dharma devatas etc). So, what is Sankhya vedic metaphysics? It says that without the conscious, self luminous, immortal, immutable, immanent (athma), transcendent and omnipresent Brahman, nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or no duality cycles of energy can happen eg Birth/decay (including reincarnation of humans), wave/particle, energy/matter, manifestation/concealment of the universe (NOT CREATION OR DESTRUCTION since energy can be neither created nor destroyed). freezing/melting, man/woman, wake/sleep, summer/winter, day/night etc Sankhya Vedic metaphysics can be validated by logic, double slit quantum experiment and embodied experience (direct knowledge through focus + meditation). In other words, there is nothing other than the conscious divine + energy or (cosmic allegories Shiva + Shakthi or Vishnu + Lakshmi or Brahma + Saraswathi).. Microcosm = Macrocosm. Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma are just cosmic allegories for the conscious, immanent ( athma ) transcendent and omnipresent divine. Their wives (shakhti, lakshmi and saraswathi) are just cosmic allegories for intelligent energy. Husband and wife always exist together for the perpetual duality cycles to happen. Shiva and shakthi (concealment), Vishnu and Lakshmi (sustain or dharma or balance) and Brahma and saraswathi (manifestation). Another example is summer/winter sustained by fall or spring. Point is, 3 basic material constituents and qualities associated with them are manifested by the divine + energy combination. They further differentiate into 5 elements. It also means "Tat Tvam Asi'' meaning - You (conscious and immanent athma or the soul) are (already) that (conscious, transcendent and omnipresent divine) regardless of whether you realize it or not because without the conscious, immanent and omnipresent athma or divine nothing can exist. Identification with thoughts and body is just an illusion because the 5 senses are experienced by the athma or soul and it is NOT the doer. Conscious and omnipresent athma or soul is like a silk thread which goes through different pearls (animate and inanimate) if you think in terms of an analogy. Consciousness is an attribute of the immanent and omnipresent athma or the divine just like heat is an attribute of fire and the sun. It is because of the immanent and omnipresent athma there is consciousness in the psycho-physical body. But in Abrahamic religions there is no connection between consciousness and the soul. ERWIN SCHRODINGER (FATHER OF QUANTUM PHYSICS) Schrodinger's biographer Moore, wrote -- “His system - or that of the Hindu Upanishads/Vedas - is delightful and consistent: the self and the world are one and they are all. He rejected traditional western religious beliefs (Jewish, Christian, and Islamic) not on the basis of any reasoned argument, nor even with an expression of emotional antipathy, for he loved to use religious expressions and metaphors, but simply by saying that they are naïve--and will NOT understand Quantum theory and consciousness.

This is exactly where you need tk understand the concept of perception. This is very important for self realisation 😂. Dude it's a story, there is a careful narrator or one who is monitoring this world of 10 people. He is the one who is telling you the story of those 10 people. He always sees 10. But in the perception of those 10 people, each one lost. It's like you and ur dream, you see everyone in the world that u have created using ur waking state perception of world from ur brain and u will put urself in to that story. You are experiencing everything, but yet u r also there by being physically not there. 😂 Isn't ur experience real in dream world ?. Also in the perception of the one who sees u sleeping and dreaming in ur room on bed, he sees just a body on bed. Don't fucking act smart when there is nothing smart in it 😂. This is happens when u don't understand the word "story"😂. This is the same condition with all our Hindus, who think puranas as real. Infact the very word purana itself means "legendary stories"😂. U need high level of intelligence to understand Vedanta. High-level intelligence = commonsense. 🙈

"Tat Tvam Asi'' means - You (conscious and immanent athma ) are (already) that (conscious, transcendent and omnipresent Brahman) regardless of whether you realize it or not because without the conscious, immanent and omnipresent athma nothing can exist. Identification with thoughts and body is just an illusion because the 5 senses are experienced by the athma and it is NOT the doer. Conscious and omnipresent athma is like a silk thread which goes through different pearls (animate and inanimate) if you think in terms of an analogy. This is Sankhya Vedic metaphysics (around which the whole hindu tradition was built including yoga and tantra) which combines Advaitha and Dvaitha. So, this beautiful allegorical story said Ramana Maharishi is a big slap to people who create "non existent" duality between athman and brahman
