What a perfect phrase for this smile. It goes right to the the core of my consciousness whenever I see this picture The love and compassion that emanates are palpable; and tears become uncontrollable. I am elated to find someone else speaking of His, the most beautiful smile there is!

Wonderful video. New sub. I learned a lot and will probably listen again. A couple years ago I had a kensho experience where the Grace of God dropped the veil of ego illusion from my consciousness. I could see the cosmic joke i believed in for more than 50 years and I was slightly embarrassed because it was sooooo obvious that it's not real. But I didn't see it before all that. Now I'm in the process of dropping the mind, takes a while i see.

@@rajindergill9480 I think in the case of Ramana Maharishi (of coarse only going by his video/visual, his textual, and the personal evidence of those who knew or were in his presence) it leaves very little doubt at least to me of his genuinely enlightened stage. There are those however who claim to be or have been awakened yet there is nothing really validating such claims. If things are obvious - as they should be - it leaves no doubt in ones mind. ❤🙏

Here’s a summary of the key themes, questions, and teachings covered in the audiobook: Core Concept: Self-Inquiry (Atma Vichara) The fundamental question of "Who Am I?" is the gateway to realizing the Self (the ultimate truth). Self-Inquiry involves turning attention inward to find the source of the "I-thought," which is the root of all other thoughts. Key Teachings and Questions Who Am I? The body, mind, thoughts, and emotions are not the Self because they are temporary and constantly changing. The true "I" is beyond all these - it is pure awareness or consciousness. How Do I Practice Self-Inquiry? Whenever thoughts arise, ask: "To whom do these thoughts occur?" The answer will be: "To me." Then ask: "Who am I?" This questioning eliminates identification with the body-mind and reveals the ever-present Self. What Is the Nature of the Mind? The mind is a bundle of thoughts. The "I-thought" is the first thought that arises and gives rise to all other thoughts. If you trace the "I-thought" back to its source, the mind dissolves into the Self. What Is the Ego? The ego is the false identification of the Self with the body and mind. By constantly questioning "Who Am I?", the ego loses its grip, and the Self shines forth. How Can I Control the Mind? The mind cannot be controlled by force. Instead, it must be dissolved through Self-Inquiry. By asking "Who Am I?", the mind naturally subsides into its source. What Is the Nature of the Self? The Self is Sat-Chit-Ananda (Existence, Consciousness, Bliss). It is eternal, unchanging, and beyond birth and death. Realizing the Self brings freedom (moksha) and the end of suffering. What Is the Role of God in Self-Inquiry? God and the Self are not different. The realization of the Self is the realization of God. The path of Self-Inquiry is a direct route to understanding this unity. What Is the Purpose of Life? The purpose of life is to realize the Self, which is our true nature. All worldly pursuits are temporary and ultimately unsatisfying compared to the bliss of the Self. Key Practice: Turning Inward Instead of seeking happiness in external objects, turn your attention inward. The Self is the source of all happiness, and it is always present within you. Impact of Self-Inquiry Self-Inquiry destroys ignorance (avidya) and reveals the truth of who you are. The dissolution of the ego leads to liberation (moksha) and peace. Final Message The answer to "Who Am I?" cannot be intellectual; it must be directly experienced. Through consistent Self-Inquiry, the illusion of individuality fades, and the Self, which is pure consciousness, is realized. Conclusion Sri Ramana Maharshi's "Who Am I?" offers a simple yet profound path to self-realization. By asking this fundamental question and turning inward, one can transcend the limitations of the ego and mind to experience the eternal, blissful Self.

There is a mind, there is a body, there is pain. But who experiences all this?
@jmac4952
@jmac4952 11 ай бұрын
I can tell you one thing. I would say that something like depression or anxiety is another kind of pain that people experience that can be equally as painful as physical pain. I have done self-inquiry maybe 4 hours a day for the last 4 years and I can tell you that depression and anxiety are virtually gone. And when I say virtually I mean that they only arise for a moment or two prior to my surrendering them and my reaction to them to God. And so there is really none of that kind of pain anymore. The other thing that this process does is psychologically you begin to experience the world like a dream. And yourself like a dream character. So I am now able to look at the worst of the worst situations in the world and the peace that is obviously what I am does not fade away or get overcome by some negative emotion. Self-inquiry is like the most incredible antidepressant you have ever taken. It is simply incredible.

@@GnosticElohimEvery time you feel A disruption of peace, whether it is emotional, mental, or just some bad event in the world that you see - give it to God. And at the same time give the sense of me that feels the pain, anxiety, anger or whatever it is to God as well. That part is very important. Give the disturbed me to God. Do this at least 50 times a day. Just make yourself constantly do it. You will most likely feel no relief for the first year. But keep going, keep doing it and doing it and doing it and doing it. Your mind will tell you that it's a joke, that it's ridiculous, that it doesn't do anything but just keep going regardless. You have to have the discipline to keep doing it. I would say after about a year you will start noticing that it is completely changing your life. And you will find that every time some negative experience arises in your awareness that instead of thinking to give it to God you will automatically do it. Or rather your mind will automatically do it all by itself. And so what happens then is every negative experience becomes an opening to God. And Call It Whatever You want. Source, Higher self, etc. The name doesn't matter. Just imagine that there's something there, a beneficent creator, that wants to help you that you have cut off from and it's your responsibility to reconnect to it. And then just keep doing it until you feel the effect. It took me about a year and a half to where I started noticing that this shit actually works. I've been out at over 4 years now about 3 to 5 hours per day. Prior to that I did a lot of other spiritual stuff but I've been really dedicated for the last four plus years. If you don't stick with it it won't work. It's up to you. I just pretended like there was a source that could help me that I cut off from and it was my job to reconnect and then I waited to see if it was true by carrying out the practice. What I found is that it is true. Of course this is only my experience but this simple practice has profoundly changed my life. But I had to keep doing it I had to stick with it even when it felt like it was a joke and doing nothing. Overtime that sense of it being a joke will transform into something that feels completely metaphysical and amazing. But you've got to stick with it and you've got to do it even though it feels like it's not doing anything. It's all up to you. Nobody can do it for you and you don't need any more explanation than what I've given you.

@albundy9597
@albundy9597 8 ай бұрын
Consciousness is when there is something that feels like it is to be you, pure is just a word tacked on to it. Spiritual teachings are full of meaningless words, they enhance the teacher who teaches non-duality but ignores there is two, the teacher and the student.
