I wanna talk football for a second, since Rants is talking some much needed sense in this video. Look at the action that led to the winning goal for Chelsea. It all started from our attack. -Dalot was cutting inside from the left as Mount AND Bruno were forced to move to the sideline. BOTH within 2 meters of each other ( and for whoever knows football that means they were both out of the game in that moment) . -Dalot keeps running inside, all while having 3 Chelsea players around him and a back line of 4 in front of him in perfect order. (This mans chances are Dalot will lose the ball more than he will make a wonder pass. ) -Dalot tries to pass but Rashford, his nearest player, misses the pass and MCT ( who was our furthest and only point of attack ( our striker in other words) gets immediately swarmed by 2 Chelsea players and loses the ball. - There is not one single other United player around these 3 lads. The nearest one is Bruno in the left side of the pitch. Meanwhile Mount is in lala land and our 2 midfielders are a good 10 meters behind. This means there is a HUGE hole in the middle of the pitch. -LO and BEHOLD ! Chelsea start the counterattack and they do it THROUGH OUR MIDDLE. Difference being Chelsea move all their bodies forward, while our attacking players are still in attack and arre not transitioning well enough. Bruno is the only one trying to run back from the initial 5 players that were in and around the Chelsea box. -Result of all this is UTTER CHAOS. AWB bumps onto Mainoo as they try to stop the counter, and we are found in a 5 v3 situation in defence. Only reason Chelsea did not score there and needed the Corner that resulted from this action is cause Chelsea are well sh17. And here comes the BEST part. Chelsea take a quick corner and we got one Chelsea player at the edge of the box and ALL our players within a radius of 5 meters away from Palmer. So lad takes a shot and scores.... well done to him I just want to point out that what I just described is considered unacceptable even at a semipro level. People do this shit but its not considered good enough or the norm. At high level of professional football this sort of on the pitch display is considered criminally bad. managers would get the sack and players would get on a selling shortlist after such a display. And yet we have done this SAME EXACT THING. multiple times during the ETH regime in our club. ETH is a fraud. Let no one tell you otherwise. What I just described is not only player laziness but inexistent tactical setup and coaching. I know Rants will get what I am talking about.
