Marcus Rashford's career is starting to remind me of Nicolas Anelka's career. Both supremely gifted players who had the world at their feet when they were still teenagers, but neither went on to the next level cos of over sensitive personalities. Both seem to be troubled individuals who struggle to integrate. I know people will say is hard to be troubled on £350 k a week, but strikes me is something deep rooted in his personality that means he may never realise his full potential. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up walking away from football for good.

Signing Amrabat for €10M is an absolute steal and should be a no-brainer. When he actually got to play as a 6, he mostly played very well. Against Bayern, Chelsea, Liverpool at Anfield, and City in the final. He compliments Mainoo well, he seems to actually give a shit when he plays, and I don't think his ego would be hurt if he had to hold bench for Ugarte. Very solid squad player for such a cheap price, and better than the current Casemiro, McGhost, or Eriksen that we have on the bench now.

Unfortunately Mark, you’re getting paranoid in your absolute defence of ETH. He knew the level of the squad when he signed a contract that gave him control over signings, ignored Ragnick’s advice on the players & gave assurance that he’d work with them. He bought Anthony, Tyrell, Mount, etc & stuck with Rashford, Bruno, Casemiro, Scot & co, so he had himself largely to blame for results in the second season. You’ll run out of excuses for him this season, trust me.

I do wonder whether we're trying to work out a player exchange deal for Amrabat. But here's the thing though. I reckon what could be on the cards is we try to give Lindelof to Fiorentina but they don't want to pay the wages. So we'd have to say pay maybe 30-40% of the wages of Lindelof off to the player himself before doing a deal. Something complex anyway. That's just my guess.

I think it depends on injuries. If we're able to get some depth at the back then it's doable. Last season we had a dozen opportunities to break into or stay in the top four, but we rarely had players at the back in their correct positions
