Well done :D I did 7,5 metres. There was no 10 m board in our swimming pools. Then, finally, one of them had a 10 m board but it wasn't open when I was there so I had to take the 7,5 metres. The funny thing is, I only did the 7,5 m to encourage my niece to jump off the 3 m board, but in the end I was the only one who jumped. So I'm pretty sure I'd jump off 10 m as well, but simply with my feet first. However, I do love watching real divers such as Tom Daley. It looks amazing! =) But I better stick with swimming ;-)

I would like to think that I could convince myself to jump but I feel as if I most likely would not follow through. At the end of the day, it's a victory but a very small and wholly personal victory. Was the "risk" worth the fall? Is the accomplishment worth the struggle? If you die here, is this a death you are okay with? That's how I would end up talking myself out of it. When I am on roller coasters I endlessly think around every turn: "this thing is going to fail and I am going to die." So I have to fight myself between thinking of that and saying "oh well, we're already here. Nothing we can do but try to enjoy it." It's interesting just how powerful watching the struggle of fear actually is.

As a kid, over a few years, I was shit scared at a theme park of what was realistically a pretty tame ride, until when watching other people go on I came to the conclusion that the difference in getting on and not getting on wasn't the fear that was stopping me, the difference was simply that of a few steps and then them sitting down on the ride. I've got no doubt my heart would be going a thousand miles an hour as I climbed those steps. The bottoms of my feet would be tingling and uncomfortable, and my palms would be sweating and clammy. Nor do I doubt that I would take a few steps and jump off.

Got about 2.5 flips in before i tried to lay out and dive. Problem was i misjudged how close i was to the water. Slapped my family jewels and belly flopped at the same time. All the oxygen escaped me due to screaming out in pain. I'll need a life jacket just incase because I'm going for four front the tucks.

In the city I grew up in there was an indoor pool with public hours. It had a diving tower with boards at 5, 7.5 and 10 meters. The 10 meter was always closed. As children we would jump off the 5 and 7.5. It's scary the first time like anything else. There's really nothing to it. After your first jump you go back up and do a running long jump this time cause you realize you were over reacting. Just like the people in this video.
