I needed that. I am starting over. My other business closed down so here I go. I changed my KZbin name and it’s kind of what you do. Everything. I bought a home and had to learn everything from plumbing to flooring. Now I want to get out of this house and find something else. And you learn by your mistakes. I made so many videos but I go back and I am the worst critic. I’m turning 65 and haven’t grasped that “I’m growing old phase”. So it’s hard. But I have to just do it for myself and who cares. My great grandmother and mother were Both masters at it and I want to see if I'm any good. I've been watching youtube videos to learn different techniques and the basics. I am so glad you're back with your weekly bursts of useful information we can actually implement in our own journeys and the gentle butt kicks we need to keep us on track. You have always been so kind and genuine in your efforts to help others succeed. I appreciate you so much!!! As for what Id like to see you address...I think some tutorials on smart business practices would be ideal. Addressing things such as sample sale or customization contracts. Not everyone is savvy enough to create a professional document to protect them from uncomfortable situations. Perhaps include inspection checklists that customers sign off on before taking posession of a piece. Maybe create a basic spreadsheet to illustrate the cost analysis of what we do. I think so many people undervalue their work because they're not truly looking at all that went into creating it. From the initial cost of the piece, the time and cost to transport it, products used, supplies used (including wear and tear on reusable supplies like brushes, sand paper, tools, etc.) And, the most overlooked piece of all...their time! For those trying to turn a hobby into a business, I think contracts and spreadsheet examples would be a great tool. Something I, personally, would like to learn more about is developing social media presence to promote your business and tips for creating a website. I've been paying for a domain name for years and have never created the web page because I get overwhelmed just thinking about it. I hope these ideas help give you some inspiration for future topics. Thanks, again, for sharing your time and talents! ❤

Thanks for the advice l started my “business” 5/6 years ago as l had to retire from a job in finance as l had breast cancer and furniture painting was just therapy not expecting it to go anywhere but I got quite good at it but in the early days I sold far too cheap but now it’s hard to sell at a reasonable price not looking to make a fortune just enough to buy better supplies and materials Any advice ? exactly!!! I had a very tough year and I was hurt a lot and so I removed myself from many situations to heal and work on that vs taking it out on people because its so true, when you are sad, mad, or in pain you do hurt others.

I really want to do the decoupage on furniture and blend paint I'm just not sure what Is the best budget friendly chalk paint for getting started. What to use for decoupage I've done small decoupage with mod podge but I don't think that's the best for furniture because the work time is not good and I'm not sure do I seal the decoupage before I blend paint when do you seal it.
