Thank you George, as a shepherd myself in the past and brought up on a sheep farm, it was very interesting to see these wild ancestors of our sheep... Their behaviour reminds me of a Soway ram (an ancient breed of sheep) we had, he jumped out of any field we put him in, a very different animal who took his freedom, whether or not it was given to him.

I've been told there are only 3 Agrina left and that they can't reproduce. Is this true? If not, are measures being taken to protect this endangered species?

@@georgekonstantinouwildcyprus That's what it says when I google for info but I've been told that number is inaccurate and counts for non pure breeds of Agrina with the full horns.

Who told you this Sabrina? I assume the rams with horns are male and only display such large horns at a certain stage of their lives. I doubt all 3,000 would look like the iconic animal we know and love. But it does sound like George knows what he is talking about, and that there are enough to keep the species alive.

@@ah7910 I'm only worried because my friend was really confident and I can't find a reliable source. Hopefully you're right, I want the species to be preserved and prosper not the other way around.
