Gotta say, I love how respectful and chill you always keep things Zeke. You're more than ok with people disagreeing, with you and each other, and just want to keep civil discourse throughout. Along with the production quality of your videos it makes you seem so professional and I really like that. Keep up the awesome work man.

Growing up on the East Coast of South Africa, my grandfather had a boerboel that he named Ludwig. He was a big softy with the family, but everyone in the neighbourhood knew to steer clear of my grandfather's yard. In those days the property wasn't fenced. Never had any worries of getting hijacked coming home late at night or washing getting stolen off the line. Now years later, I'm living in Australia and hope one day I can own one of these beautiful dogs again. Zeek - you have done a great job of introducing this breed to the world!

It is hard to explain just how powerful she is .Never known a Kangol or Dogo though. We recently re homed the boerboel and have been working hard to socialize her [thanks corona virus for all your help there] as she had absolutely none when we got her. Although extremely smart , she is equally stubborn and if she wants something or wants to check somewhere out.....Thank goodness she is a quick learner and eager to please .

Dogos have better bite force, Agility, speed and are much more powerful then rotties the Rottweiler shouldn’t have been on here

You realize there's lots of dogs with better bite than a Rotti's.
@TheQPill
@TheQPill 4 жыл бұрын
Steve Wagner not documented no there isn’t. Only the tosa inu was tested with a 556 psi bite; the rott still has the 2nd highest bite force officially recorded & not too many breeds are going to top it. They’ve literally done 2 bite force series in real life; one with the GSD, APBT & Rottie, & the other with the Malinois, Dutch Shepherd, American bulldog & Tosa inu. Those other numbers are speculated myths. So no I doubt out of 7 random samples of power breeds if the rest are just going to top the rottie. Men who do protection work that work with most power breeds will tell you the rott’s bite is something else.

is that ur way of making those breeds seem superior to the ones shown on this video? .if u like them so much why dont you specify their function?. all 3 breeds u mentioned were created to *repel* leopards,lions,,wolfs(eurasian) .hence the size of each one of those breeds ,but neither one of them is actually chasing/catching nor killing any of those predators u mentioned.african mastiff are as big as they are for a reason ,same as kangals and kuttas .but u know damm well that aside from being huge and powerful they dont got much on the other breeds mentioned..size and strength is needed for their functionality yea but do not expect anyone of those dogs to chase their prey down hold it and finish it

Rottweilers definitely deserve to be where they are on the list. Anyone that has had a true example of a rottweiler knows the power. As for the Tibetan Mastiff based on the criteria just does not have the agility to be on the list, caucasian ovcharka definitely deserve a place in the list and one at that. In my opinion any wolf dog hybrid should not be put on this list but are immensely Powerful just think it's a list of dogs and not wolves.

Rottweilers aren't frequently used in police work anymore because of insurance liability because too many people were receiving serious injuries (broken arms/legs, deep lacerations) because they have a very powerful bite and concidered too excessive. That's why Malanois are more common now, they're faster and more agile, still powerful but not so excessive.

In the beginning when you said it wasn’t always about size, I had hope that it wasn’t going to be a list comprised of mostly bully breeds. I’d love to see a non bully breed list of dogs who have a very strong presence in a package less than 75 lbs. I really think Australian cattle dogs should be added to the list. They have the mass there for the height they are, and are also extremely athletic, extremely powerful, and extremely agile

Love this channel! Another great video! Although I would remove the Bandog and put the Caucasian in its place. I am a Boerboel owner. My dog (female) is 8 months old, weighs 50+ kg and is extremely powerful. (Her mum is about 70 kg). Very strong and still agile. However I have to pre-warn potential Boerboel owners. This dog has an extreme guarding instinct, is very dominant and not easy to work with. This dog is not for everyone. You will need a lot of patience rising the Boerboel. And you have to start from very young age. This is also heartbreaking because a few weeks old Boerboel puppy is the cutest creature on the planet. Love to all dogs and their owners!

Probably because that is what is needed to remove the 'pit bull' reputation (i.e, banning, etc). If they change the name and tweek it a bit, the dog-fighting rep will slowly 'be eliminated' from people's mind. I already know young people who do not believe they were originally bred for dog fighting (watch Pit Bulls and Parolees - she knows the breed better than anyone). That said, many will tout their gentleness. That too is true, actually. I'm a senior so I remember their early roots: if a fighting pit bull ever harmed a person - especially children - they were eliminated; no matter how good they were in the ring. Killing dogs was its primary job - along with protecting its family; it was what they were bred to do. Eventually my story will be considered 'a myth' as us seniors are no longer around to tell the truth - unless the lineage can't be irradicated, no matter how many name changes. :-) (by the way, I love the pittie myself - most that I have met at the park are the sweetest dogs you could ever meet - key word: most - and I've never met any with 'bad owners' - i.e, someone who tried to make them vicious).

I grew up in the northwestern province of Pakistan before migrating to the US for studies. back then, we had a bully kutta girl who was trained to guard our pet goats. She would go out with goats in the morning and be back just before dusk. We always saw her with the small flock. When she used to see us, she would come wagging her tail and as soon as we left, she would be back to her guard duties. At night she would be guarding our home in the backyard. We did not have a single theft on our property or outside of it. What a girl she was!

Good list, but I don't know about one thing. You say the AmPit lacks the brute strength to be among the elite. While I don't think they are the most powerful, they do some pretty crazy things I have not even seen some of the dogs on this list do. I'm talking about pulling a truck with men on the truck and killing cow level of power. KZbin has some examples of their power. Again, still a good list, and every breed on here is powerful. I just wonder if every single one of these breeds have feats similar to or greater than those.

@@TheMendo123 I'm not so sure about what you say. I am sure they could be on this list too, but any information I can look at saying they win almost every time? Honestly, Pits seem to be more frequently featured in that kind of thing, and I hardly see people use Alaskan Malamutes. Dogumentary TV even interviewed people that use their dogs to pull weight, and it has only been Pits as far as I have seen. There are also Bullies and Bandogges that do very well, but nobody really mentions Malamutes. Not saying they are not used, but if I go look up dog weight pull, I will probably be getting a lot of Bull breeds.

@@GO-GO_SO-SO you're just going off of youtube videos though. Go look up the actual results, that's what malamutes were bred for to pull. A malamute owns the record, pitbulls are starting to close the gap though, mainly because less and less people are using their dogs what they were bred for and a person who gets a pit is more likely to want to put them in strength competitions where a malamute is now becoming a family dog
