EDIT: WOW! 50k views! Thank you all so much! It's hard to believe that people still come back to this, or that new people still find it.I love this short, and I love the characters. So thank you for sharing this with me. Sorry for the wait! Quick little QnA before people ask: What software did I use? All the visuals were done in Clip Studio Paint EX. Compositing done in After Effects, and I put it all together in Premiere Pro How long did it take? Everything from the rough animation to the compositing took me from the end of June 2019 to early March of this year. Will I make more of these? That is still up in the air! I hope this was somewhat worth it! I wish I could work faster, but I'll try to keep getting better.

@@Alllex Oh absolutely. I feel like if Melanie would’ve found out Terry was Batman she would’ve straightened out and she would’ve ended up with Terry. Because even after Terry told her how mad he was at her, he didn’t deny he still finds her attractive and kinda cheated on Dana by making out with her. The episode where she stays at Terry’s place and they started making out and then the scene cuts to them chatting I’ve always wondered if they had sex during that moment.

After watching this I am now convinced Batman Beyond should be the canon future of the DC universe. I do hope they will do much more with Terry McGinnis in terms of movies and comic books. Also wish Ten was more predominant, I want to collect some iconic comic covers of her. Oh and your animation is the partial motivation I needed to make a short Batman Beyond fan art/comic, I have it playing in the background as I draw.

Everything about the Timm-verse DCAU should be the baseline canon for DC. BTAS, STAS, JL, JLU, Static Shock, Zeta Project, Batman Beyond...the characterizations for each hero and villain are perfect, the voice cast is legendary, the stories are well told, and the continuity is pretty well maintained (biggest break IMHO is how the world went from looking all 1930s to 2020s between OG BTAS and STAS).

I know this is late.... but this was amazing. I genuinely wish that Melanie and Terry would have been the focus of the show. Dhana just seemed so bland where Melanie was so much more of an interesting character. Amazing job.

Dana treats Terry like dirt, and Max is no where the proper emotional level or emotional intelligence for Terry. Melanie understands him at a whole deeper level idk why the writers made Terry turn 180 at the end and not understand her situation with her family and that family doesn't make someone who they are entirely. Especially when he didnt clear the air and the writers were so immature in not letting Terry and Melaine talk their similar problems like adults. Meanwhile Dana is kissing and dancing with other guys and mad ppl dont stroke her toxic narrassit personality

@@DaftPunkSkittle For sure. Even though I feel that Terry and Melanie's relationship was a bit rushed and out of nowhere, she still was the best out of the three women in Terry's life. Dana was extremely un-original and seemed to have no personality what so ever. The writers never tried to give her any sort of character development in any way. She stayed a narcissistic little girl through out the show's entire run and took up all of the time we could have seen Terry and Melanie be together... For such a great show, it had terrible romantic writing. (Oh and in my opinion, most of season 2 sucked. )

I just came back to this after seeing Batman Beyond dropped on HBO Max and I would like to say how in the world did Dana get back together with episode of Dead Man's Hand in the episode of Dead Man's Hand? A lot of people said that Terry cheated on Dana but she was the one who was kind of jerk to him as the busy guy that he is and she broke up with him in the beginning of the episode. Why do I rant whenever I'm confused with the plot. Sorry. I hope more people see this. I really liked the animation and the art style and the voice acting was just perfect.

Nice animation. The characters looked off at first in the beginning (not including law enforcement), but by the flashback scenes it started to pick up gracefully. Felt like there should've been a funny part where Bruce tries to call him at the end.

Loving the new intro :) it's got so much life to it just like the rest of the animation!! I loved the expressions and minimal amount of words you used for story telling, weither it was stylistic or not. Even though I don't know anything about the story besides from this animation, I was able to understand what had led up to each event!! Everything about this video is schway! Minimal dialogue yet the actions speak like a megaphone and the music sound like it really belongs to the Batman Beyond soundtrack (did you compose?. Edit: nvm just watched the credits roll lol)

This was really good. I honestly wish this was canon in the actual show. I mean, these two were really perfect for each other. It was hard for me to like Dana as Terry's girlfriend, since there are a lot of times she does treat Terry like garbage. Melanie Walker on the other hand, even without knowing that Terry was Batman showed real and genuine love & care for him.
