The Power Of The Blood Of Jesus Christ. We took communion yesterday with an understanding of the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. There was a beautiful sense of God's presence. I asked some people from the church to bring a short exhortation on a verse in the Bible that clearly shows us what the blood of Jesus has done for us. It was great because it led to some sharing their testimonies of what Jesus had done for them, and it was in line with the scripture I had planned to use as we prepared to take communion. It was powerful. At the end of the service, I was on my knees and just wept. It was tears of gratitude. I had a moment of feeling overwhelmed with the goodness of God as we had a time of reflection on the cross and the blood of Jesus Christ. Revelation 12:11 (AMP) says, "And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death." This verse is a game-changer for a believer's walk with Jesus Christ. It is one thing that the devil will fight against, the believer coming into the true knowledge of the blood of Christ. I really like the AMP version of Revelation 12:11. "They OVERCAME and CONQUERED him (Satan) because of the BLOOD OF THE LAMB." I like to look up definitions of words to expand my understanding of the words I am reflecting on. It really opens up the scriptures to me in a powerful way. When you overcome something, it means that you have successfully dealt with or conquered a challenge, obstacle, or difficult situation. It indicates that you have managed to surpass the difficulties that were in your way. To conquer something means to successfully overcome or defeat it, typically through great effort, skill, or determination. Conquering implies gaining control over or mastering a particular situation, obstacle, or challenge. It often involves facing and overcoming difficult circumstances, adversity, or opposition. Conquering can be applied to various aspects of life, such as conquering fears, achieving a goal or ambition, or defeating an opponent in a competition or conflict. It signifies a sense of achievement, accomplishment, and triumph over the difficulties that were faced. Conquering something can also lead to personal growth, increased confidence, and a sense of empowerment. As followers of Jesus Christ, we do experience many challenges, opposition, resistance, and various difficulties. When I hear people say that Christianity is for wimps and weak people, they actually have no real idea of what we have to face and go through. Revelation 12:11 is clear that believers overcome and conquer Satan by the blood of Jesus Christ and the word of their testimony. They do not love their lives even when facing death-like situations because of their faith in Jesus. I encourage our congregation again and again to know and understand what the blood of Jesus has done for us and to testify and share with others what it has done for them in their lives. This is how we overcome and conquer, this is how we apply the blood of Jesus Christ to our lives. It is a golden key to victory in the believer's walk. This week, I will share what I was taught by a very well-respected Bible teacher about the blood of Jesus. This has never left and it’s something I thank God for on a daily basis. 1. Redemption/Forgiveness of Sin Here are some scriptures to ponder on. Read them, delve into the background of these verses, and consider the context of the scripture. It will enrich your life. Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV) "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." In Christ, we have redemption through His blood. The word "redemption" can also be translated as "ransom." The word "ransom" speaks of a payment made for a slave who has been bought from the slave master. The slave, who was once in bondage to the slave master, is now redeemed and has freedom. Before encountering Christ, we were enslaved to Satan and under his control, in bondage to him as a slave is to his master. Satan is a deceiver, and many Christians are still enslaved because they don't actually understand that they have been redeemed. Christ's shed blood is the payment, the ransom, for their freedom from the slave master of sin and Satan. Colossians 1:12-14 (NKJV) "giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." 1 Peter 1:18-19 (NKJV) "knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." Titus 2:14 (NKJV) "who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works." Matthew 26:28 "For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV) "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." Hebrews 9:22 (NKJV) "And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission." Hebrews 9:22 (AMP) "In fact, under the Law, almost everything is cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness, neither release from sin and its guilt, nor cancellation of the merited punishment." That is sedition according to Roman law. I've been studying Bible prophecy for the past year, and many signs of the end times are converging as never before in history. I've been enormously comforted by our Blessed Hope (as Titus describes), by the snatching away "in the twinkling of an eye" that 1 Corinthians 15, and 1 and 2 Thessalonians describes. (The Rapture). I like your testimony. It was intense. It sounded like you were in psychosis in certain situations. I have been in that also. I have bipolar. The mania phases made it difficult to believe in God when i can't trust my own mind as i have experienced hearing and seeing illusions and delusions making me question everything as if my long history coming to Jesus was my imagination. Not only that but my existence and logic no longer seeming logical. I dont think many christians talk about mental health, or they don't know what it's like at all. I have to take my medication because it's chemical and when i go off it i go into another world thinking i hear God in every little clue, its like living two lives at once. This is the second time I'm coming back to myself with a sound mind. I was scared to listen to Christian speak because i feel dont know how a mental condition can feel so real, and then not, and then i don't know how to believe in reality outside of my own mind if i don't trust my mind. Psychosis and manic highs, you know? Many christians just call it demonic and have no idea what they are talking about and its messed me up pretty bad. But I'm doing good now. Im glad there are other people who have been through troubling mental realities and still believe in Jesus, it helps me.

What’s your opinion on Hinduism? I am an Ex-Hindu and I find India to be a good place for evangelising but I haven’t been able to find any opinion or resources from Christians debunking Hinduism in detail.

I’ve seen a few books, but I (not Indian) have had a similar experience. I’ve found books on apologetics regarding Islam easily, but most of what I find for anything else is either part of a broader comparison (not that it’s a bad start) or is part of a book targeting a particular country. Maybe start with books that cover apologetics for several religions then use the details to find more Hinduism-specific ones.
