Some areas are racist and there are some frequent gangs but overall it's a really chill place.

As a Chinese person, I had a very nice talk with an unknown couple near the Quayside one night. The husband is from Pakistan, and his wife is from India. We shared our opinions on this city and the conclusion is that we love it and we can hardly feel any racist here so far.
