What better way to kick off this adventure than an old-fashioned shop tour. Come see how I’ve customized my single stall garage. I can’t wait to actually make some sawdust on the next video!

Great Tour, Glad to see that you don't have a ridiculous "woodpecker Trophey wall" or 50 sistainers and crazy expensive Festools trophey's, nice to see just a normal guy in a normal shop that isn't set up a studio with his tropjey tools in the background. Good for you. I subscribed.

Thanks Hector! I feel very blessed to have the dedicated space and I’ve been diligent over the years to save my money for the tools I have. As Dave Ramsey would say, “I’m doing better than I deserve!”.

Oh no! Bummer! There is a big reveal at about 6:30 - you were almost there! Also, if you play the music in this video in reverse it gives promo codes for discounted lumber at Rockler.

Congrats on the channel launch. I started mine a few months ago, and just posted my shop tour a few days ago. My advice is to get out a build video on something popular. I had one that took off and made a huge difference. Best of luck to you.

@@TenThousandMakes yeah, editing is the bane of my existence, lol. I have several videos shot already, but it takes me like 20 hours to edit them, a couple hours a day late at night.

Thank you, Fred! Good luck on setting up your shop. Setting up a shop is an incredibly fun project. You get to organize and tinker until everything is as you like it (and then change it all around … hahahah).

Hahah - Thanks, I’m trying! it certainly wasn’t always that way. I used to be pretty bad about every little tool and every piece of reclaimed wood on the planet. I was buried. I’m getting better.

Your shop looks just like mine. Packed full of do-dads as my father used to say. I like to recycle and repurpose items. My shop is much smaller at only 10x16ft. But you can fit a lot into a space if you stay organized. Beautiful table saw. My condolences on the bike though. ;>{. I have always loved the Hondas from the 1970-the 1980s in maroon and always dreamt of getting one. But I have a scooter instead that goes 45 mph woohoo!! I love your humor and look forward to future builds. One of the things I noticed with the different items you have built, you used different joinery methods. I always tell these young startups to use your shop as a palette to hone their skills. How else will they learn how to hand-cut dovetails, a dado, or rabbits in the assembly of a piece of furniture? It's better to screw up a cabinet for the shop than for a client. My nephew started in High School( one of the few schools that still offer trade skills) and he comes to me for advice because" I'm old and have decades of experience", I had to laugh at that. Yes, I'm 60 and started woodworking in my gramma workshop at age 10, but I told him, that I'm still learning new things every day. I want to build a coffee table using either Korean or Japanese joinery methods. And boy is it challenging but a lot of fun too. I wish I had the money to go to Japan to learn directly from a master, but a very good book I bought is working fine. Isn't that what life is all about? Learning doesn't stop at school, and at my age, lol, you have to exercise your brain. I will tell you I have never seen so many different directional angles in one joint until I start practicing these two methods! Best of luck and consider me subscribed!~ Dolly
@TenThousandMakes

Thanks, Dolly! I love that you are still learning. Keeping a curious mind keeps us all young, humble and creative. What book are you using for the new joinery methods?

Sorry man. My Grandma was a DJ back in the 60’s and we were remixing some of her beats from the original vinyl. Her dying breath was that I would someday incorporate her art into my woodworking. This was the best I could do.
