@ Thanks! I would have used padouk or bubinga for those bow ties, but my wife liked the maple better. Yes, I agree, the number of them was a lot and definitely over kill. I was really just trying my hand at a new skill and couldn’t be stopped. 😂

@@bradmcconnell1125 Not at all - just making a little joke. Epoxy gets a bad rap. I think it makes beautiful art. I’m also working on an epoxy river table project and these smaller projects were a way for me to test out some skills and build confidence.

When I have a semi truck fully loaded with corn it’s 40% air from space between. Then they grind it up to make ethanol

@@EJ-ge4st Yes, but the 40% air is the same in your semi truck or another container. Try it out yourself - the amount of corn it takes to fill up a container comes to the same line on a measuring cup if you were to fill up that same space with liquid. The amount of air between kernels is the same from one container to the next. Which means that even though corn kernels have air in between them they still displace the same amount of space. It works. It’s certainly close enough.

Run a bead of caulk on the underneath side of your pieces. The epoxy wont seep through the caulk.

Use a saw all without the blade and vibrate it It will make the air bubbles come to the surface. Just put the guard against the side of your mold and run it. It will vibrate the entire mode and allow the bubbles to come to the surface faster.
