Something I do is first pick 3 coloured pens or pencils randomly or blind. I then grab scrap papers and card, buttons, ribbon, flowers etc in the same colour scheme and some stamps I haven't used for ages. I then just create cards, tags, etc using only those colours - with the addition of black, white or netallics. It's amazing how many ideas you can come up with. 🤔

Another fantastic video!!! My number one recommendation for anyone needing their mojo restored is to watch your videos! Seriously, you have such a wonderful way of explaining steps, offering alternatives and encouraging your viewers. All done in a relaxing atmosphere where I feel I'm crafting alongside a friend. I started making backgrounds after watching one of your previous videos and just looking at them gives me all sorts of ideas. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🩷

“Well, that looks bizarre. I don’t know what I’m going to do with that” is the story of my ventures into making backgrounds. I’m not what you would call “visual,” so experimenting has gone more awry than come out looking avent-garde. Your videos showing how YOU make backgrounds, therefore, are more than inspiring: They provide much-needed road maps to making cards that really coalesce. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into making your videos, Natalie! 😊

I have a card idea Tin full of small pieces of paper with different ideas on it. I have dice I roll and pick that many strips of paper. Sometimes I try using all the ideas in one card or split them up and do different things with each strip. Makes having to make a decision easier lol. Love some of your ideas and am adding them to my idea tin.

I love these ideas. I will watch it again and again whenever I lose my mojo. I know I want to play more instead “I need to make cards for swaps” or “I must make a birthday card”. The “have to’s” take away my mojo very fast. I often make envelopes or card bases, that helps a bit, but usually I go online; KZbin or Pinterest. But I really like the playing and that is going to be the first I’ll try. Thanks for the download, that will help too. And now I will go back and watch all your videos I missed last month. Thank you for sharing these 10 tips👍

Got to get back out in the garden, rain tomorrow. I will watch the last 4 tips later. I find it difficult using a jig the stamp never quite aligns correctly. So I use the alternative method, of die cutting but leaving a reasonable amount of card around the appeture. Stamp on scrap paper place it under the appeture (jig) until perfectly aligned. Then place the die cut back in the appeture being careful not to move the jig. This I find works so much better. Great video so far, is re-organising the craft room no:10 😂😂 works every time for me. I‘ve been making cards for, literally, decades but Jennifer McGuire revolutionised my card making life, so it might be useful to you, too: rather than, like you showed (and I did all my life) cut the cardstock then score both pieces, score the large sheet FIRST, THEN cut. One score, one cut, two cards (works for portrait and landscape), sheer brilliance! Kind regards and thank you for your fun and inspiring videos, Nicola

Brains are mysterious and very particular entities .What would be easy and apparently logical to anyone ,could very easily sound and look awkward and uncomfortable to achieve and done to some . It's called individuality . McGuire person could be right and so are you but ,I cut and score as Natalie does it and I have done it instinctively when I first embarked into this card making journey and my cards are not less than others because of that matter .

@@karminakarminae1939 Oh goodness, I did not mean to sound like I wanted to impose anything on anyone! I was merely passing on a tip that I found very useful - this is what all this community is about, inspiration, encouragement - being nice, being kind. If you prefer your way to the extend of not even wanting to look at other things, fair enough, I am very glad you enjoy yourself… Should you want some inspiration, this „McGuire person“ is certainly a good place to look, she is one of the most amazing card makers and kindest and most generous people I have come across online! I do hope that this is not offensive to you, you can, of course just ignore the suggestion. Have a lovely day, Nicola

Greetings! I create cards in bulk three (3) times a year. Since card-making is not the only craft I do, my answer is to move on to my next ability...i.e. machine embroidery; sewing; or gardening. However, Loved the idea of the Card-making prompts. Yet, the link would not allow me access. I guess I was too early as I viewed the video within four (4) hours of your posting and then attempted to grab the prompts page...EPIC FAIL. So, how would I access the prompts?

Not sure why you can't access the prompts. It was available as soon as the video went live. I've also posted it in my facebook group.

The background sheet is lovely. Will have to use your “S” method. 😊 Great video!

I tried to download the prompt sheet but was told I did not have access and to ask for permission (I assume from you?!). Any ideas please?
