Few activities are as deeply, personally fulfilling as walking in the dappled sunlight, sitting and relaxing, in the shade amongst the very trees you planted and grew yourself. It would be a whole new world if more people were to do the same... or have the privilege to do so... I bought a tiny piece of bare land and now, 12 years on, I look at all the trees I planted, as they tower over me, swaying in the wind, and like yourself think, this is the most important, marvelous thing I've done. Congratulations on your 10 years, hard work, but wow, it really shows... Beautiful 👏 👏 👏

Hello Terri , great video, a lovely day for a stroll along the lanes, it might be a rough landscape but it's ruggedness adds to the natural lay of the land indeed. My garden is also 10 years in the making of. 2012, I moved house from a small cottage with a small yard that over the years of living there became a small courtyard garden. When I moved house the garden was a large area of wasteground nothing could deter me, I knew I could work with Mother Earth, and together create a natural habitat for the wild birds and small creatures that come with a flourishing environment.I planted shrubs and trees in total 15 . The front of house was a neglected concrete base broken fences and derelict facade.ten years on it's a green oasis with a wild flower area, the multitude of wild flowers and herbs two raised bed areas built up on what was the broken concrete slabs . A lot of work and some mishaps along the way too. I'm not finished yet, I consider myself the caretaker of this natural space and bird haven . I have learnt a lot from watching your videos since last year,The main lessson learnt over the years of making a garden either a courtyard or a microclimate environment is nothing is ever wasted and working together to save the precious place we call our home and gardens helps more than just our mental wellbeing but that of all species. Contentment is the key word. Hugs and blessings th you both . 🌹💚

What an amazing and enjoyable garden tour Terri and Lol! The amount of work and pure love you have put into the land is DEFINITELY blessing you back and helping many (humans and critters) using biodynamic methods. I am so impressed with your prolific herb garden and variety and beauty of your trees. Thank you again.

Couldn’t believe the contrast with your garden to the plot next door. I’m originally from the Northern Scottish Highlands which is quite similar and was always taught such landscape was the default. Shows you what trees can do x
@DanusIrishHerbGarden2 жыл бұрын
Isn't that funny - we are led to believe that is the default! You can see here, around the "big houses" and churches, that trees will grow. With the wind I never expected them to grow so well, but that is their job and they do it well. xx

My house is surrounded by Rowans. A protection and blessing. Got the veg garden in today. Full moon/eclipse. You and Lol have done well, and are such an inspiration. Thanks, Terri. Love from Dublin.(Your American Sister!) ❤🇮🇪🍀 When I was amending my garden today, I had a Robin come to me. Just observing. Blessed.

The "unexpected" is often the most thrilling to find in the garden! Thank you for your beautiful commentary and video. Greetings and blessings from a very blustery Scottish Highlands.

You have a beautiful garden plot, it's an oasis in your rocky landscape, so well done to both of you for all your efforts. Thank you for sharing this with us, it is an inspiration to us all.

The azalea at the beginning of the video is stunning 💕 You did a great job in your garden and it shows what one can do with poor land. My garden is very small and there is pure sand and no humus but inspired by Colette from Beltaine Cottage I've been planting many trees as well. It must be great for your students to attend the classes in the herb garden.
@DanusIrishHerbGarden2 жыл бұрын
Colette is a great inspiration to us too. In the summer time it is lovely to have classes in the garden. xx
