I'm revisiting this video after nearly a year of not seeing it. If anything I'm even more blown away with Marcus' playing today than I was last time! What a phenomenal guitar player . . who looks as though he's having the time of his life doing it too. I'm disappointed though, at the negative comments. This is one time when I can say with certainty that *you* couldn't fill Alvin's shoes, and so you're putting down anyone who tries to fill them. Marcus isn't Alvin, so don't expect him to somehow "become" him. Alvin had a style all his own, and so does Marcus, but I have to say he's taken the time to learn plenty of "Alvin-isms" to give the band, still populated by two of the original members, some authenticity. Please, people, don't condemn this iteration of Ten Years After. Alvin's gone . . and we need to move on. *You* need to move on.

So, it seems Ric and Chick are the original members. That guitar picker is pretty good and the bass player as well. Still worth the price of admission.

I've seen them live heaps of times with Alvin and even though he's not here, it's just as good with Marcus Bonfanti in this one as it was with Joe Gooch in the previous ones as both players seem to channel the same feelings, emotions and performance as Alvins original... 2 thumbs up as it's a pretty good all round show for something that was played 50 years ago and it's always hard to fill somone elses shoes...!!!

At least they're letting Marcus talk to the crowd. It looked positively ridiculous when Joe Gooch was on guitar and vocals, and Leo or Ric jumped on the mic to introduce the next song while Gooch stood there like a deer in the headlights!

Very good, but lacks the feel of Alvin's persona in it. No one can be Alvin of course so hats off to these guys for carrying the torch. nI love the bass player, he shows you are never too old to rock and roll. I'm 59 and he shows me I still have time. ;)

Spot on Henry, Colin Hodgkinson is the best, he comes from my home town Peterborough UK, I use to watch him play at the local pubs when he wasn't touring the world, great bloke too.

This leads me as a guitar player to in the near future to come out with going home . To do Alvin Lee I feel you have to play like him then go to the next step and play as if what would he do next to pick it up higher so as a guitar player to do him honor and show what he made in you .
