The Christian's bibles are just very badly mistranslated and corrupted versions of the Torah/Tanach (The Real Word of G_d), with a whole lot changed including names, a whole lot added, and a whole lot taken out. Everything that G_d said not to do, Christianity did! Try actually reading the scriptures when G_d gave the Torah/Tanach and the 10 Utterances to Mosche and the Children of Israel on Mt. Sinai. @@johnle231 I do read the Torah/Tanach. And for the most part they did follow G_d's law. When they didn't follow G_d's laws they were displaced from their land. When they repented and followed the Torah/Tanach, they were returned to their homeland and G_d blessed them. Just like now, G_d returned them back to the Land of Israel, just as G_d promised. The G_d of Avraham, Yisrael and Mosche is an awesome G_d!

Rabbi Singer is right in so many ways and yet I feel that he is too polite to take his argument as far as he could. I refer to the AD 325 Council of Nicaea and Emperor Constantine's demand for an orthodoxy of Christianity, But , in fact it was a heterodoxy of mythology, paganism , Paulianity cobbled together with abridged versions of four out as many as seventy gospels. The traceability of the gospels reveals that they were written in Greek long after the original inconsistent eyewitness accounts. Referring to the scriptures as God's Word is a misunderstanding of Saint John the Mystic's explanation of the creative energy by which the universe came into existence.

Happy Mother’s day to all the mothers out there. I needed this message of encouragement. It gives me hope. We must always keep faith in God no matter what. My husband passed away three years ago, unexpectedly. Me and my children are still coping with his death. I am a single mother with two beautiful children that suffer from autism. I lost my job as a social worker because I declined the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health conditions. Lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth hospital. I have no family or friends to help me. I’ve been put down and mocked over my circumstances. I want to give up but my faith in Jesus is too strong. I will continue to have faith that our Heavenly Father will provide for me and my children. He has provided this far. Please pray for us. God does hear our prayers.

God bless you. I have autism and my wife has multiple sclerosis. She can’t talk and is completely paralyzed so needs 24/7 care. The disease is progressive so she is getting worse and I have lost my best friend but still have God and my faith. I can only imagine because of missing my wife and her voice and communication what you are going through it’s very painful and she is still alive although can’t communicate in any way. You are brave and I will pray for you. Illness / loss is very very hard. All my love to you.

The Rabbi has so much patience, Hashem bless him to greet the true Moshiach! I just don't understand why people can't take the time to read the WHOLE, COMPLETE books of Isaiah and other books in Tenach! By reading the WHOLE book, a person will have a better understanding, and comprehension of what is going on within the context of the events that are taking place! The deceitful way in which the nt lies, and purposely miss translates words and takes words and sentences out of context, proves that the nt is NOT devine, or holy. Just a compilation of vindictive hate towards the One True GD, and the truth of the Holy Torah! Please make the time to read the COMPLETE books of Tenach from beginning to end! I recommend the Art Scroll , Mesora book series. Their translations from the ORIGINAL Hebrew are excellent! May HASHEM open the eyes of all people and inspire all people to the truth of Torah!

With all due respect, how can we be sure the Old Testament is any more reliable than the New Testament when there is no proof of Moses or David, for example, in other historical documents outside of the Torah? The church teaches that the writers of the four gospels are like four witnesses of an accident. The witnesses of an accident are seeing the accident from four different angles. If that's their true beliefs, Those "witnesses" wouldn't be able to testify to the accident because none of them can give the same report or even close to what each other saw as well as changing their testimony. The gospels and their witnesses would have been thrown out of court and deemed liars or fabricators.

Do you really think it's such a big deal that they would not have been adding spices? It hasn't really been my thing, yet, to go check (at grandparents' funerals); I didn't want to see either of them, DEAD, at all, but if I had lost my children at their most adorable ages, I can imagine not wanting to let go. I would think you would be that way, too. It would be so heart-breaking. They were upset & grieving, right? My husband is in his 70's, & we periodically get all kinds of funeral things. I like cemetaries ( not at night, but they are often quite pretty), but I can't fathom spending all that money for the plot, or at least I'm not sure. I might, but I might not. So, I might want to do the cremation ( my husband is fine with this), and keep his ashes in some sort of nice container, with me. I'm telling you this, because you seem pretty opinionated. I think the trick of this teacher is to initially present, that the Christian bible is a historical book. So then he can go to question the 'historical Jesus' existence adterwards. But we christians believe that our bible is not a historical book which is in fact a compilation of books . Remember that the purpose of our bible is for God to reveal Himself to us for those who are in search of salvation. Also, for God to speak to us thru HIS instructions, inspired messages, and corrections. God is also able to wash us of our sins by the reading of the written WORD which are alive and give life. But anyone else whose intentions are different or treats it otherwise, shall be lost from the true translation by Divine design. Because the meaning of the words written in our bible are locked. And can only be opened using together His Wisdom to understand the message. What this teacher is doing is treating our bible as a research material only just like any ordinary book in a library. In (Luke 9:59-60 and Matthew 15:26) Jesus shows his ARROGANCE by telling his disciple to dishonor his father’s death not allowing him to bury his father. Pharoah had more love and compassion than Jesus (Genesis 50:4-6). . . .Jesus calls a woman a DOG in Matthew’s Gospel. . . .Jesus was NOT the humble Messiah, but ARROGANT false Messiah.

You're wildly distorting what is meant to be just a simple act of Faith by Abraham. He is saying that God will provide the RAM for himself when Isaac asks where the sacrifice is. This is symbolic of Abraham's faith that God will provide and part of his 10 trials.

There's no reason why we need to understand the events described in Zachariah 9:10 as happening immediately after what is described in 9:9. Just because they're right next to each other on the page doesn't mean they're right next to each other in time. Nevertheless, if 9:10 is understood as Christ's defeat over the powers of sin and death, then it has indeed happened.

@@johnle231 this is Christian teaching. But it is entirely invented by Christians and does not derive from the Hebrew Scriptures at all. The Christian insistence that a person who sinned cannot repent of their sin, stands in opposition to the hebrew Bible which teaches that with repentance and charity man can obtain G-d’s forgiveness and atonement for his sins.

@Philip A - The rabbi gave the reason why the fulfillment of Zechariah 9:10 must be at the same time as the fulfillment of Zechariah 9:9, because the verse 9:10 begins with the word “And” in the hebrew text signified by the hebrew letter “Vav” (ו) at the beginning of the first word in the sentence, which is the conjunction “and”, making the contents of verse 10 a continuation of the immediately prior verse 9. And logically there is not much point to riding a donkey into Jerusalem (something which many people did since it was common), unless the fulfillment of the messianic redemption which verse 10 describes in part happens also. Then we would know that the person who accomplished verse 10, is the awaited redeemer and his entrance to Jerusalem on the donkey was simply because of his humility. Riding a donkey into the city of Jerusalem means nothing by itself about the redemption, as in those days hundreds did that every day.
