Good luck mate keep plugging away. Small steps. A lot of people think you have to hit things hard but slow and steady is the best way.

Another video on point there Scott. Have you ever purchased contracts from a company closing? What would your take on this route be? Be careful not to give too many of your secrets away in your videos tho 😉

Hi Andrew, no not done that. I would think the problem with that would be the client being used to a service that the new buyer may not deliver. I keep plenty secrets back mate. But I’m in a position where due to client relationships some of my contracts are long term now.

Great talk Scott. I know you probably win a lot of tenders but do you ever get feedback on the ones you don't win? Also is the quality of your work discussed in council meetings as well as the price when submitting your tender? Cheers, Carl

I always ask how far away we were and also state if anything goes wrong with the contract we would be happy to step in. This worked on one of my long term contracts. A nationwide company priced a job for peanuts and only lasted 3 months before the council got rid of them. I have had it for 4 years since then.

Hi. Do you have to have accreditations to win tenders?
@scottellwoodgardening2873 жыл бұрын
With tenders you have to be careful not to be out off by them asking for accreditation’s. They could say for instance company must be BALI registered but if all your guys have an NVQ in horticulture it shows they are all qualified and know the trade which is better than just the company holding an award. We don’t always have what’s asked but when I list what employees have we still win work based on it. Some tenders however they don’t ask for any at all.
