Just starting out myself, down the road in Luton, and this has helped, but finding work so late in the season has left me at a loose end.

Excellent video. Profit isn't a dirty word. The one bit of advice that has always stuck with me is to charge as much as you can. Not how cheap can I do this, often a mistake someone new to the industry thinks. I work as a two-man team and would be pushed to take something like this on as it's generally not worth it, travel time etc. There are only so many smaller jobs like this I could squeeze into a day.

Great video mate. I have a gardening business that's been established for 15 years. Largely domestic work and this year I'm trying to transition into commercial work also but finding where to start and avenues, pricing etc quite difficult. Cheers for the vid

Ok some good points there and not all business run the same .. I personally would price this job at £50/£60 I work on my own and I don't take waste away happy to bag it up and let the customer deal with that. where I work most have garden waste bins ..I personally consentrate on small jobs.

ignore my last comment a little. i would first time 20 front grass .. 20 back grass.. thats 40 pound .. 15 to strim weeds from driveway.. 55 in total .. then i would say to customers i can call eahc month for cut grass for 20 pound.. take 20 mins. works our 1 pound per min mate. and thats reasonable. justified.

Hi Jack, any advice for what to include in RAM statement? Any examples/ templates? Would like to put in a tender for grounds maintenance of a medical centre (UK). Already have h&s policy, risk assessment, COSHH record, waste carrier license, but don't know whether these specifically feature in a RAM or what else should. Any help would be really appreciated.

71 pound.. too much for that. its a 50 minute job with 1 person.. 30-40 pound. 2 people 1 hour 50 pound. 30 for you.. 20 for him. i would work it out .. 18 pound each for hour .. 14 pound to business for costs.
@ExtensiveGardens
@ExtensiveGardens 2 жыл бұрын
i want to know why the extra 1 pound. why not just 70

This is what I love about this topic!! It’s all relative to what the customer is willing to pay and what your costs are!! If they have been quoted, accepted that price, then it’s fair. A fair agreement. The costs on my business are worked out the the pence, no rounding pounds up or down!

50 mins to drive out and back load up unload tidy up. Then do the job. Give me what we clock you’re using man!! Grass price is fair but what about weeding all the flower beds? Waste alone here for me would be €12
